(CNN) -- A stowaway fell from a plane flying over London and dropped into a residential garden on Sunday, just feet from a sunbathing man, according to reports.The body was traced to the undercarriage of Kenya Airways flight KQ 100 that left from Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Kenya Airports Authority said in a statement Tuesday, adding that it is investigating the incident.London's Metropolitan Police said Monday that the victim appeared to have fallen from the landing gear compartment as the plane approached London's Heathrow Airport.One neighbor described hearing a "whomp" as the body hit the ground, the UK's Press Association (PA) news agency reported."He had all of his clothes on and everything. I had a closer look and saw there was blood all over the walls of the garden," the neighbor told PA.Police were called to an address in Offerton Road in the south London neighborhood of Clapham at 15:39hrs (10:39 ET) on Sunday "after a body was discovered in a garden," the police statement read.Officials are working to establish his identity and "a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course," it continued.A bag, water and some food were discovered in the landing gear compartment once the place touched down at Heathrow, the police said.The Clapham resident said the man landed a meter (3 feet) from a man sunbathing in his garden."So I went outside and it was just then the neighbor came out and he was very shaken," the neighbor, who asked not to be named, told PA.He suggested the victim was already dead when he fell, adding that the stowaway was "so intact... because his body was an ice block."While the death is not being treated as suspicious, police inquiries will continue.In 2015, a stowaway on a British Airways plane from Johannesburg fell on a roof during the jet's approach to Heathrow. Glendon Oakley was shopping for a jersey Saturday when a child came into the El Paso, Texas, store and said there was a shooter at the nearby Walmart.Oakley told CNN no one in the store, including him, paid attention because they didn't understand what the child was talking about. Oakley said he then walked to another store.That's when things went wrong."I just heard two gunshots and a whole bunch of people started running around and screaming," Oakley said.As mayhem erupted over the next five to seven minutes, the armed Oakley planned to go with others who ran out of the store toward the gunshots."But I see a whole bunch of kids running around without their parents. Only thing I think of is pick up as many kids I can as possible," Oakley said.He and another man began corralling children. There were about 13, Oakley said, but he could only carry three."I was just focused on the kids, I wasn't really worried about myself. So just put my head down and just ran as fast as I could," he said. "They were anxious, when they were in my arms, they were trying to jump out of my arms but trying to keep them as tight as possible. They are kids, so they don't understand what is going on."Once he saw police, he said he let the kids go and pulled out his phone "in case they were going to shoot me and started recording while I was running."Oakley said he wasn't concerned with his safety, rather getting the children out of harm's way."I was just thinking about if I had a child and I wasn't around, how I would want another man to react if they saw my child running around," Oakley said.Oakley told CNN affiliate KFOX that he did what he was supposed to do and he doesn't want the limelight on him."I understand it was heroic, and I'm looked at as a hero for it, but that wasn't the reason for me ...," he said as he broke down in tears Sunday. "I'm just focused on the kids I could not get and the families that were lost. It hurts me, like, they were part of me. I don't even know the people that died or the kids that I took with me ... However, a law that’s been called "the most important for the internet" prevents that from happening.“This is a 1996 law that carried over from the last century that says no matter what’s posted on your platforms, you’re not responsible," Feinberg explained. "That was before social media."The law is in Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and it gives sites like Facebook and Twitter the right to moderate what people post.Section 230 also protects social media companies from being held legally responsible for what is posted on their platforms, even if it's a conspiracy theory or misinformation."The argument was that AOL, Netscape, whatever those were years ago, they were the bulletin board; people had to bring their own tack and pen," Feinberg said. "Now, the social media companies, because of the algorithms, they are the bulletin, the paper tack and the pen they are giving you.”Both presidential candidates want Section 230 removed, but for different reasons.President Donald Trump feels it gives social media companies the ability to unfairly censor conservative voices.Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden says social media companies should not be exempt from being sued for misinformation that is posted on their platforms.Dr. Ryan Stanton has seen the real-world impact misinformation is having from his Kentucky hospital."The most common is this whole thing is a hoax," Dr. Stanton said. "I’ve had several people who have had to be admitted to the hospital and be intubated and those type of things, up until right before coming to the hospital felt that this virus was not a big deal."Doctors say when it comes to COVID-19, go beyond the social media post to the source.“I think the things to look for are things that are peer-reviewed," said infectious disease physician Dr. David Hirschwerk of New York's Northwell Health. "Peer-reviewed publications tend to be ones that can be trusted in addition local health departments.”Feinberg says it's important to look deeper into the accounts the information is coming from.“Check out who you are dealing with, check the name and profile see that they have.
