President Trump and Tony Soprano have the same taste in music, according to "Saturday Night Live."The NBC variety show opened its season finale on Saturday night with Alec Baldwin's Donald Trump sitting alone in a New Jersey diner. RAINBOW, Calif. (KGTV) - A new overpass may be destined for the I-15, not for people but mountain lions.A just-released study led by The Nature Conservancy and backed by the National Park Service recommended a stretch of the I-15 just south of Temecula - either an overpass or underpass like crossings in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming - allowing mountain lions and other wildlife to safely get across.On the west side of the highway is preserve space owned by San Diego State University.  On the other side are 73 acres just purchased by The Nature Conservancy.  Experts says the local mountain lions have been cut off by the freeways and are practicing inbreeding."That makes them more susceptible to disease, and that could be catastrophic for the mountain lion population," said Cara Lacey, an associate program director at The Nature Conservancy.Lacey points out crossings in other states have also cut down on vehicle collisions with wildlife.  She says at least three mountain lions were struck by vehicles in that stretch of I-15 in 2017.  Caltrans is studying a crossing on Highway 101, which would cost between and million. 1165

President Donald Trump was removed from his evening coronavirus news conference on Monday after a shooting took place outside of the White House complex, Trump confirmed to reporters. Minutes into his briefing, Trump was told to leave his briefing by a Secret Service agent. Trump said he was not taken to the bunker, and just stepped outside of the briefing room.Trump said that a suspect was shot by law enforcement outside of the White House. Trump complimented authorities for handling the incident. The Secret Service confirmed an officer-involved shooting at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington. The intersection is roughly one block from the White House, and not far from the West Wing section of the White House, where the White House briefing room is located.The Secret Service said that a male subject and a Secret Service officer were both transported to a local hospital. "At no time during this incident was the White House complex breached or were any protectees in danger," the Secret Service said.The Secret Service issued a statement late Monday indicating that a 51-year-old man told Secret Service officers he had a weapon. 1163

Susan Collins, of Maine, is calling embattled EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt "the wrong person" to head the agency "on policy grounds alone."Collins voted against Pruitt's confirmation, and said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union" that his actions on the environment, "whether it's trying to undermine the Clean Power Plan or weaken the restrictions on lead or undermine the methane rules," validate her decision.Pruitt has come under fire for a string of ethically questionable actions over the past year, including renewed questions over the amount he is spending on his large security detail?and over his travel and housing arrangements."This daily drop of accusations of excessive spending and ethical violations serve to further distract the agency from accomplishing its very important mission," Collins said.
