Student loans borrowers are still struggling right now, even with payments on federal loans suspended.Nearly half of borrowers in a new survey from personal finance site Student Loan Hero have lost income during the pandemic. About 34% have had their pay or hours cuts and more than one in three borrowers are experiencing food insecurity.Currently, federal student borrowers have placed in an administrative forbearance, which allows them to temporarily stop making their monthly loan payment. The suspension of payments will last until Sept. 30, 2020, but they can still make payments if they choose. About two months before the pause on federal student loan payments is scheduled to end, advocates are warning we're not ready.“Back in March, when the CARES Act was passed, I think September 30 made a lot of sense at that point. We were hopeful that by September we'd have the virus under control, that we'd be getting back to normal, that things would be reopening,” said Sam Gilford, Director of External Affairs at the nonprofit Student Defense. “But of course, here we are in July and it's clear that's not the case.”Student Defense has been representing students who had their wages garnished months after the CARES Act said that's not allowed.Just last week, the Department of Education said it's still happening to thousands of borrowers.The organization stresses that now is the time to be your own best advocate.“Many people will be eligible for what's called 'income-based repayment,' which is a repayment plan where your payment varies based on your income and if your income drops to certain level, your payment will drop to zero,” said Gilford. “That can be a really good option for a lot of people, but it's something that takes time to get started so don't wait until October 1.”Gilford says to watch out if you contact the company in charge of your student loans and they recommend forbearance instead of income-based repayment. You get a temporary pause on your payments, but interest keeps growing so your loan is getting bigger.There's another reason not to wait to contact your servicer.Student Defense says even in good times, servicers struggle to keep up with the volume of requests and calls from borrowers. Superhero creator and legend Stan Lee has filed a lawsuit in excess of billion against a company he co-founded.The suit, filed Tuesday Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges that Pow! Entertainment conspired with two employees to steal Lee's identity.According to the lawsuit obtained by CNN, Pow! Entertainment CEO Shane Duffy and co-founder Gill Champion "conspired and agreed to broker a sham deal to sell POW! to a company in China and fraudulently steal Stan Lee's identity, name, image, and likeness as part of a nefarious scheme to benefit financially at Lee's expense."The complaint centers around the 2017 sale of the company to Hong Kong-based Camsing International.Lee, Champion, and Arthur Liberman formed Pow! Entertainment in 2001, the suit states.Lee, who helped create Black Panther, Iron Man, the X-Men and countless other Marvel characters in comic books and on the big screen, was led to believe he had entered into a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Pow!, according to the complaint.Lee says the defendants fraudulently obtained his signature, allowing Pow! Inc. to gain "the exclusive right to use Lee's name, identity, image and likeness on a worldwide basis in perpetuity."The complaint also states that Duffy, Champion and Lee's former business manager Jerardo Olivarez (who is not named as a defendant in the suit) took advantage of his grief over the death of his wife of 70 years, Joan B. Lee, last year and his poor eyesight due to macular degeneration.In the suit, Lee alleges that Olivarez managed to convince him to sign a power of attorney to gain control over Lee's assets.Duffy and Champion have not responded to CNN's request for comment.CNN has reached out to Lee and Pow! TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa man was released from prison on Thursday afternoon after 37 years behind bars for a murder and rape officials now say he didn't commit.Robert DuBoise, 55, walked free after an 11-month investigation by the Conviction Review Unit of the State Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with the Innocence Project, determined he was innocent.“I’m just happy to get home to my family," he said. "It’s a beautiful day.”The first thing DuBoise said he did was hug his mom, Myra, and sister, Harriett. Sunday night's episode of "The Simpsons" took on the controversy over a character, and not everyone thought the response was funny.Comedian Hari Kondabolu's documentary "The Problem with Apu" debuted last November and looked at the show's character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon as a negative, stereotypical representation of South Asians.Nahasapeemapetilon is an Indian-American character who operates the Kwik-E-Mart convenience store in the fictional town of Springfield. The character is voiced by actor Hank Azaria, who is not South Asian.In his doc, Kondabolu interviewed several big name celebrities of South Asian descent, including Aziz Ansari and Kal Penn, to discuss how characterizations like Apu can be viewed as a form of racism.On Sunday night's episode of "The Simpsons," mother Marge Simpson is seen reading a book to her daughter Lisa in which she refers to the heroine as a "cisgender girl" and tries to modernize the action.Lisa notes that the character as such is "already evolved" and "doesn't really have an emotional journey to complete," so as such there's "no point" to the book.Marge asks, "Well what am I supposed to do?" and Lisa's response was clearly meant to be one to the Apu controversy."It's hard to say.
