SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A 20-year-old woman died following a shooting that left three others injured at a party in La Jolla Sunday morning, according to San Diego Police. Police were called to the 7500 block of Draper Avenue near Jack in the Box around 12:39 p.m. after reports of shots fired. According to police, partygoers were standing outside a home in the area when a light-colored sedan drove into the alley and shot the victims. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old woman and 23-year-old man with gunshot wounds, according to police. Police say both victims were rushed to the hospital where the woman later died. The 23-year-old is in serious but stable condition, police say.Two other victims, both 19-years-old, later showed up at different hospitals with gunshot wounds and are in stable condition, police say. The suspects are still at large and police say they have no description at this time. The victims haven’t been identified. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A 25-year-old was arrested Wednesday following an officer-involved shooting sparked by a chase late Saturday night. According to police, Alfonso Flores, 25, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer, one count of evading and one count of possession of a stolen vehicle. Officers tried to pull over a Ford F-150 that was reported stolen around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 1900 block of Dairy Mart Road.Police say the driver didn’t stop, instead driving into a cul-de-sac, making a u-turn and driving toward officers.RELATED: Chase leads to officer-involved shooting in Imperial Beach“Believing his partner was going to be run over, one officer fired his service weapon to defend the other officer,” police said in a news release.At some point during the pursuit, police say Flores threw a handgun out of the truck.RELATED: One shot, killed at Linda Vista recreation centerThe suspect eventually stopped on the 1200 block of Holly Avenue in Imperial Beach and ran away from the scene with a female passenger.Police say the officer who fired at the suspect is a three-year veteran of the department. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A car crashed through a parking garage wall and dangled from a building Friday night.Emergency crews responded to the Harbor Club parking structure before 7 p.m.Firefighters say the driver of the White Lexus was a woman in her sixties. They say her foot got stuck under the brake pedal and she was unable to stop.Shortly after the accident authorities were able to pull the car back into the building. The driver was not hurt.A structural engineer was called to the scene and is assessing the damage to the building. 558

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) --  At 14 stories high, The tower apartments in downtown San Diego have some nice views. But when you're trying to get down without an elevator - it can be a challenge. Carol Clark says she was left with no choice but to take the stairs from her 13th-floor apartment to go the grocery store on Thursday afternoon. "I did it today but trust me I was breathing heavy when I came in," she said. Clark is one of the 200 senior residents living in the high rise building - a building designated for people over the age of 65. The residents say they've lost count on how many times they elevator has gone out. That's why they decided to call 10News for help. Although the second elevator was working when 10News arrived, residents tell us that wasn't the case for most of the day. They say it's something that happens a lot lately. "There are people here with walkers and wheelchairs," Clark said. "I'm scared to death for them."One neighbor in a wheelchair broke down in tears during our interview. "It's people's safety," he said. "Not just mine, but everybody else."The building is undergoing renovations - which residents say they appreciate. But they say the upgrades don't make it ok to shut down one of the two elevators and leave them with an elevator that they describe as unreliable at best. "Everybody is extremely upset," Clark said. "And the thing is we don't seem to be getting many answers."The residents told 10News they've taken their concerns to management many times but have seen no changes. They say they hope something is done soon, before an emergency happens and it's too late. 10News called the on-site manager and the property management company but have not yet received a response. "It's a stressful situation not knowing if something happens are they gonna be able to get downstairs," Clark said.   1901

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Del Cerro woman had a rare - and timely - encounter outside a Halloween display on her morning walk Tuesday. Liz Harley and her friend Terry Finstad spotted an owl in the middle of the street, transfixed by a light show of bats on the side of a home. “It was just so cool,” Harley told 10News. Harley and Finstad have been walking together for 25 years, since their children were small. Now they’re both grandmothers and keep their tradition alive. During their walks, the two have seen all kinds of wildlife: coyotes, rabbits, skunks, raccoons. At first, Harley thought the owl was a cat, but then she noticed its head spinning. “We just watched it,” she said. “We wondered, what is it doing?” The owl spent several minutes absorbed by the flying bats, oblivious to Harley’s golden retriever. Harley and Finstad walked on, and when they passed through the area again, the owl was gone, leaving only feathers behind. “Kind of reminded me of Harry Potter,” Harley said. Harley, who usually goes to the gym on Tuesdays, is glad she chose to stay close to home. “I was rewarded for walking this morning.” 1130
