PALA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A Temecula woman who stopped to help victims of a deadly bus crash in Pala Mesa on the I-15 freeway is hoping to connect with the family of the woman she comforted until she passed. Jacqueline Hernandez says she never thought twice about stopping to help the victims of the bus crash. She says it was pouring rain, but when she noticed what happened, she pulled over to ask how she could help. Hernandez says she joined other Good Samaritans that had pulled over to help. She says, she arrived just moments after the crash. The charter bus traveling from El Monte to Tijuana on the southbound 15 when it crashed. Three women were killed, 18 people were sent to local hospitals. Hernandez tells 10News she noticed a woman ejected from the bus and says two men started alternating CPR. She says she tried to keep the woman alert, speaking to her in Spanish and holding her face. Eventually paramedics told Hernandez the woman no longer had a pulse. While Hernandez tried to help the woman, her two children passed out blankets to the other victims that were injured.Hernandez wants the woman's family to know their loved one was not alone in her final moments. The California Highway Patrol is now helping Hernandez arrange a meeting with the woman's family. Hernandez is hoping to help them financially with funeral costs. The three victims were identified as ,23-year-old Cinthya Karely Rodriguez Banda, Maria De La Luz Diaz, 67 of Riverside, and Julia Perez Cornejo, 73. 1508

Peoria, Arizona officials say a 4-year-old boy has died after he was pulled from a backyard pool on Monday morning. Emergency responders were called to a home near 91st and Peoria avenues around 8 a.m. after the child was pulled from a pool. Peoria Fire officials saidsa the child was at a babysitter's house at the time. The pool was fenced and it's unknown how he got past the fence or how long he was in the water. The child was reportedly unresponsive and was taken to the hospital in critical condition but did not survive.No further information about the incident has been released. So far this year, there has been just over a dozen media-reported drowning and near-drowning incidents involving children in Arizona. PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla — CVS has pulled all powdered Enfamil baby formula off its shelves as its pharmacy department does an internal review. The move comes after a Florida mother shared her story about what she found inside a tub of formula with Scripps station WFTS in Tampa.Alison Denning says her package of Enfamil baby formula was tampered with before she opened the package."When I opened it up, this seal that wraps around was opened,” she said. RELATED: Mom says baby formula bought at nearby CVS was replaced with flourDenning says the package looked fine on the outside and even had the protective seal intact on the lid, which is why she didn’t think twice about buying it. But when she got it home, she knew what she found inside was not baby formula. She sent the product back to the manufacturer for lab testing. She says Enfamil has been extremely friendly and helpful.Enfamil said Denning's is an “isolated incident” and haven’t had any other reports of flour for this particular batch of formula. But this isn't the first time baby formula has tampered with — last year, a woman was arrested in Tucson, Arizona after she was found guilty of swapping baby formula with flour at two Walmart stores in the area. One baby was sickened after ingesting the tampered product but is doing OK now, according to the Associated Press.“There is no recall related to this or other Enfamil branded products,” Lynn Kenney said. But waiting for the bus or getting off after school can pose a far greater danger.The risk was highlighted this week, as at least five children lost their lives when they were hit by drivers near school bus stops, authorities said. At least seven other children were hurt in bus stop incidents.Overall, wrecks involving school transportation, including buses, make up a tiny fraction of deadly vehicle incidents -- less than 1 percent of nearly 325,000 fatal crashes in the US from 2006 to 2015, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data show.But more than one-third of school-age children who died in those school-transportation-related wrecks -- 102 children -- were on foot when they were killed, including some hit by school buses, the data show. They make an offer based on value. If you say yes, you walk out the door with cash. You either keep the money and the shop eventually puts your stuff up for sale, or you bring the money back and reclaim your items.Like all industries, COVID-19 has caused some change.“Business is difficult,” Mack said. “All of these businesses are not able to do business the way they used to, and pawn shops are no different.”However, pawn shops were deemed essential. “We’re a financial institution. This left many shops with low inventory, and lots of cash.“Right now, I don’t know that the industry has ever seen this before,” Polter explained. “Their industry is dried up and at the same time, they haven’t really had the time to replenish it.”“Pawn shops are not built to sit on cash,” Polter said. “They’re built to put cash into consumers pockets and that’s how they make money.”Mack’s shop is working with customers like many pawn shops are, offering curbside pickup or lowering loan interest rates for a while. “The asset is the customer,” he said.But without more loans coming in and a low inventory of items, pawn shop owners said there could be trouble further down the line.“We've been affected and if you drive to any other pawn shops there's nothing in their stores at all.
