(KGTV) -- A family in Otay Ranch is hoping a group of teens will face consequences for allegedly assaulting their teenage son.The incident was captured on cell phone video and posted to social media by the teen's mother. The family says their teen was waiting for his mom to pick him up at Cotixan Mexican Restaurant on Thursday after school, when a group of teens walked in and started kicking and punching the boy. Martin says one teen then started messaging his son telling him he was going to beat him up. Martin says the incident was reported to Chula Vista Police but he's worried the teens will get away with what they did. (KGTV) It is no secret that restaurants throughout San Diego County have been struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic, but one restaurant in Otay Ranch was forced to close before it ever had its grand opening, just as the pandemic was starting. Hurricane Grill and Wings was supposed to open sometime between late January and early February, but when the pandemic started, it delayed everything. The owner Abu Syed is now getting ready to open the restaurant on Monday, September 28th.The restaurant will open at just 25% capacity indoors and patio seating outdoors. Like so many other restaurant owners, Syed says the landlord did give them a break on rent, but will owe it at the end of their lease. The restaurant is staffed with 32 employees, 16 of them are full-time.In August, the California Restaurant Association projected that close to 30% of restaurants in the state could close for good because of the pandemic. CHULA VISTA (KGTV) -- Chula Vista Police have arrested six suspects in an assault with a deadly weapon and robbery of a 16-year-old boy that occurred at a Chula Vista restaurant last Thursday, law enforcement officials announced.Police officials said that four juveniles and two adults, all of whom are suspected of participating in the April 11 attack, were taken into custody on Wednesday. Four of the suspects, aged between 15- and 17-years-old, attended Morse High School and have since been suspended.The two adult suspects, Kent Pasunting, 18, and Aldrin Uy, 19, attended Mark Twain High School, an alternative/continuation high school with a campus located at Morse High School. (KGTV) - Two Chula Vista parks closed Thursday due to the threat of falling trees and saturated ground amid a cold winter storm.The City of Chula Vista tweeted the closures about 3 p.m. Thursday.Hilltop Park, 780 Hilltop Drive, and Eucalyptus Park, 436 C Street, are located between I-5 and I-805 in the western half of the city.
