COVID is wreaking havoc in the Southeastern Conference.On Wednesday, the conference announced that they postponed the No. 12 Georgia Bulldogs vs. Missouri Tigers football game due to a COVID outbreak within the Tigers football program.With Missouri already playing Dec. 12, the conference pushed back the Georgia and Missouri's game to Dec. 19, the conference said in a press release.This is the fourth game the conference has had to postpone this week."While it is unfortunate to have multiple postponements in the same week, we began the season with the understanding interruptions to the schedule were possible and we have remained focused throughout the season on the health of everyone around our programs," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in the news release. "We must remain vigilant, within our programs and in our communities, to prevent the spread of the virus and to manage activities that contribute to these interruptions."On Tuesday, the conference announced they had to postpone Saturday's Louisiana State Tigers vs. No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide and No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies and Tennessee Volunteers games due to a COVID outbreak within the LSU and A&M programs.The SEC rescheduled Alabama at LSU game for Dec. 19 and the A&M-Vols game on Dec. 12.No. 24 Auburn Tigers vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs was the first SEC game postponed this week due to a coronavirus outbreak within the Bulldogs program.The conference rescheduled the Auburn-Miss St. game for Dec. 12. 1502

CREST, Calif. (KGTV) - The forward rate of spread of the Dehesa Fire burning in East County has been stopped, Cal Fire tweeted just after 5 p.m. The flames broke out about 3 p.m. east of Dehesa and Sloane Canyon Roads near Sycuan Casino, Cal Fire officials told 10News. Sky10 video indicated the flames were on a ridge above the Sweetwater River and Beaver Hollow.By 8 p.m. the fire had burned 200 acres and was 10 percent contained, Cal Fire reported. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office tweeted evacuations were underway for a "handful of structures" at Sycuan Truck Trail and Japatul Road. Employees of the nearby Dehesa School District offices were told to go home. By 8 p.m., all evacuations were lifted. Fire danger was increased due to dry weather Tuesday. Check conditions here."Today will bring mild Santa Ana winds with gusts of 25 to 35 miles per hour far inland to the mountains with humidity down to 15 to 30 percent with elevated fire danger," said 10News Meteorologist Angelica Campos.There was no indication of what may have caused the fire.The agency said it had 26 fire engines, 12 hand crews, and 3 water tenders on scene to mop up and construct containment lines Tuesday night. COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Two sororities at Texas A&M University are forced to quarantine after having been exposed to COVID-19.The university announced the activities and members of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Delta Delta Delta are experiencing exposure to the virus.Texas A&M has initiated chapter-wide quarantine and contact tracing for those who live in the sorority houses or elsewhere and were in contact.The chapters have been responsive and are responsibly following required steps to continue operations, according to the university.Students, faculty, or staff who receive a positive diagnosis or believe they have been exposed to a positive case must complete a form through the university's reporting portal.Gatherings have also been restricted to 10 or fewer people.Texas A&M kicked off the fall semester both online and in-person on August 19.This story was first reported by Sydney Isenberg at KXXV in Waco, Texas. 942
