CLEVELAND, Ohio —Julianne Moore says she doesn't feel like a hero. She was only following what her parents taught her when she saved her 6-year-old brother from the clutches of a possible kidnapper.Julianne said that a man tried to grab her brother in the early evening hours May 23 while they were playing in the front yard of the their Cleveland home. Julianne said the man grabbed her brother's arm, and she managed to her pull her brother away from him.“He grabbed him like this, so I just grabbed him and started carrying him into the backyard,” Julianne said. The 11-year-old girl immediately alerted her father, Joshua Moore, who ran down the street and confronted the suspect."He was about five houses down, and I said, 'Hey, did you touch my kids?' He just threw his arms at me and just continued walking,” Moore said. "My daughter and I gave a full description to police, and just 10 minutes later they had him in custody. They did a great job."Police arrested 33-year-old Pedro Luyando of Cleveland half a mile from the scene. He is charged with abduction.Moore said he taught his children to use the buddy system when playing in the front yard and is proud of how his daughter took action.“She’s my hero. She saved my son," Moore said. "I told everyone, I truly believe my son wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for her.” 1347

Dollar General announced that starting on Tuesday, the first hour of shopping will only be open to seniors. The company also announced that locations will begin closing an hour earlier to give employees a chance to clean and restock. The announcement comes as store shelves nationally are running low of some supplies amid concerns of the spread of coronavirus. Seniors are considered particularly at risk to the symptoms of coronavirus. Economists are split on whether there will be a recession in the next few years. Many of them say if there is one, it won't be driven by the housing market like last time. However, the housing market still plays a key role in a healthy economy, so experts are watching a few things closely, including supply and demand and home values.Experts predict older Americans will flood the market by putting 21 million homes up for sale over the next 20 years. But some economists say market forces could decimate demand by then. And with low demand, sellers will be forced to lower their prices in order to sell.Experts say the whole process could create a housing bubble, and then, burst it.Experts are also watching subprime lending. That’s when lenders let people with bad credit borrow money.Critics argue those loans are more likely to go into default, especially if there’s any hiccup in the economy.Subprime lending is much lower today than it was before the last housing crisis, but some experts say those rates are still too high.Experts do say new lending standards could prevent mortgages that helped create the crisis. 1131
