A Starbucks worker in New Jersey allegedly spat in police officers' drinks, officials said Tuesday.Park Ridge officers arrested Kevin Trejo, 21, on charges of subjecting a law enforcement officer to contact with bodily fluid, knowingly tampering with a cup of coffee while knowing it was ordered by a law enforcement officer and creating a hazardous or physically dangerous condition.In a statement, Park Ridge Police Chief Joseph Madden said Trejo was arrested after an investigation found that he spat in the drinks of officers who patronized the store where he worked.New Jersey State Policemen's Benevolent Association President Patrick Colligan called Trejo's alleged actions "outrageous.""Every time I think we as society hit bottom, there is a new incident," Colligan said. A man was arrested after he broke into a Long Island home posing as a Nassau County police officer Friday evening.Robert White, 48, forced his way into the victim’s second floor bedroom apartment around 6:30 p.m., police said.When he entered the apartment, he told the victim, 21, he was an officer and was there to collect rent money. He threatened the victim would be arrested if he did not comply, authorities said.The victim handed White an undisclosed amount of money, police said.White was later taken into custody and was charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of grand larceny and criminal impersonation. 629

A Russian woman who needed surgery to address ovarian cysts was given Fedyaeva formalin, a solution that contains formaldehyde, which is used to preserve bodies, Russian state media organization RT reported.Ekaterina Fedyaeva, 28, was told by doctors the procedure would be routine. Little did she know it know that the laparoscopic procedure to remove the cysts would kill her. Fedyaeva was supposed to be given saline solution, but instead was given the formaldehyde-type solution. Fedyaeva then complained to her mother, saying that she was "dying."It turns out she was right. Doctors tried to wash her abdominal cavity of the formaldehyde.Her organs began failing. In response, doctors tried to keep her alive, but she died last Thursday. Russia's minister of health, family and social well-being Rashid Abdullov said, "I express my sincere condolences to the relatives and relatives of Catherine Fedjaevoj. It's a big tragedy! We will provide all the necessary assistance to the family. All the guilty officials have already been held accountable, the investigating authorities continue to work."It is unclear how doctors mixed up the two solutions. Authorities in Russia have opened a criminal investigation into the surgery.   1341

A Southwest Airlines plane flying from Fort Lauderdale to BWI was hit by a pickup truck after landing at the airport.  It happened early Monday morning.   Passengers said the white truck crashed into the side of the plane on the runway.  An ambulance was at the scene, but according to passengers, no one was injured.  Passengers were not allowed to leave while crews continued their investigation.  Southwest Airlines has not released any comment but the company did respond to a tweet from one of the passengers on the plane.  A passenger named Michael Simon posted this tweet: "So our southwest flight just got into an accident with a pickup truck. Guess that makes me an airplane crash survivor."  874

A small sinkhole opened in the White House lawn on Tuesday, causing a section of the lawn to be roped off. The sinkhole is in the north lawn of the White House. White House groundskeepers placed a wooden board over the sinkhole.  247
