The health and safety of our guests, our employees and this community is our top priority. After careful consideration, we have decided to cancel this year’s Spring at the Silos festival in its entirety. Out of an abundance of caution—given the rapidly evolving nature of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases—we felt this was the most prudent course of action. All ticketholders will be issued full refunds and all vendors will be given the option to receive a full refund or a credit for a guaranteed spot at Magnolia’s next vendor fair. Magnolia Market, Silos Baking Co., Magnolia Table, Magnolia Press and Little Shop on Bosque will continue to maintain their normal hours of operation, respectively. 713
The House Intelligence Committee voted along party lines Thursday to release the Republican report on Russian meddling, after it goes through the declassification process. The top Democrat on the committee, Rep. Adam Schiff of California, said his party members on the committee sought to hold the hearing in open session, issue a number of subpoenas and hold former White House adviser Steve Bannon in contempt. He said Republicans rejected all of it. Democratic Rep. Mike Quigley of Illinois that reiterated Schiff and said Democrats made more than a dozen motions.Schiff effectively declared the bipartisan investigation over but said the Democratic probe would continue.Rep. Eric Swalwell of California called the report an incomplete assessment. In a sign of how tense the meeting was, Quigley said he clucked like a chicken at one point to underscore how he thought Republicans "lacked courage" and "ducked one of the most important times in American history." 978

The hunter becomes the hunted! In April, a nature photographer along Florida's Gulf Coast captured some incredible images of an osprey with a fresh kill, flying hundreds of feet in the air.The man who took the stunning pictures, Doc Jon, said he knew he took some great shots. But when he looked at them on his computer, they got even better. He noticed that the prey, which he thought was a fish, was in fact a small shark. Then, he saw the shark also had prey clenched in its jaws -- a small fish!It was a lucky, double payday for the osprey. I guess you could say: a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush or a fish in the talons is worth two in the nest. The photos have been shared thousands of times since being posted.Courtesy CNN Newsource 795

The House Judiciary and Oversight committees have released a transcript?of former FBI Director James Comey's closed-door interview with the committees on Friday.Lawmakers and Comey said that the interview was tense and that Republicans were frustrated by instructions from a Justice Department attorney telling Comey not to answer certain questions about the Russia investigation. Comey and House Democrats said the interview was a waste of time consumed with questions about Hillary Clinton's emails. The transcript was released as part of a compromise struck by Comey and House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Virginia, who had initially subpoenaed Comey to appear behind closed doors.Comey fought the subpoena in court, saying he would only testify if the proceedings were held in public. But he later backed down, agreeing to appear behind closed doors on the conditions that the transcript would be released as soon as possible and he would be free to speak about the interview afterward.Comey was interviewed as part of the Republican-led investigation into FBI's investigations into Clinton and Donald Trump and Russia in 2016. Republicans are preparing a report detailing their findings before Democrats take control of the House in January. 1265
