(KGTV) - A 3.5-magnitude near Palomar Mountain rattled parts of North San Diego County Saturday.The quake struck about 24 miles east of Temecula just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the USGS. The earthquake had a depth of about 1.6 miles.A second 3.2-magnitude shake was also recorded just minutes before in the same Aguanga, Calif., though at a depth of almost a mile."Did you feel it?" reports were posted from Temecula, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos, and Oceanside.No damages have been immediately reported. 540

(KGTV) - Chula Vista Mayor Mary Salas outlined the city’s recent accomplishments and layed out its future goals in her fourth State of the City Address Tuesday night. Salas went over the growth and achievements San Diego County's second-largest city has seen over the last year, including neighborhood revitalization and the approval of the Bayfront Project. During the address, Salas spoke about events that drew large crowds over the last year.Salas said the city’s Fourth of July celebration in 2017 drew a crowd of 15,000 while more than 35,000 people attended HarborFest on the Bayfront.RELATED: Port of San Diego, Chula Vista moves forward with bayfront developmentThe Mayor also spoke about growth happening in Third Avenue Village citing the Lemon Fest, Taste of Third and Village Summer Nights in June. A popular topic throughout California in recent years is infrastructure. (KGTV) — A Fresno man died after not long after taking part in a taco-eating contest at a Minor League Baseball game Tuesday.Dana Hutchings, 41, died shortly after arriving at a hospital following the contest at a Fresno Grizzlies game Tuesday, according to Fresno County Sheriff's Office.ABC-affiliate KFSN reported Hutchings was taken from Chukchansi Park by an ambulance where he had just competed in a taco-eating contest before the game started. According to the Associated Press, a witness said Hutchings appeared to be eating much faster than the other two contestants, swallowing tacos without chewing them.The witness added that Hutchings collapsed about seven minutes into the contest and hit his face on the table as he fell to the ground, the AP said.A cause of death has not been released. Fresno sheriff's spokesman Tony Botti told reporters an autopsy will be performed Wednesday. Botti added that paramedics had to clear Hutchings' airway of food when he was transported, but it wasn't clear how many he had eaten.According to the AP, the Grizzlies has canceled the World Taco Eating Championship scheduled for Saturday at the annual Taco Truck Throwdown. (KGTV) — Crews were searching for a Marine who hasn't returned from a skiing and hiking trip to the Sierras. First Lt. Matthew Kraft began his trip on Feb. 23 at the Kearsarge Pass trailhead, just west of the Independence, Calif., in Inyo County, according to the 1st Marines Division. He was scheduled to end in Bridgeport, Calif., on March 5. Kraft's skiing and hiking trip was set to cover the Sierra High Route, the Marines Division said.Crews are also trying to locate Kraft's rental car, a gray 2006 two-door Jeep Wrangler. A search and rescue effort involving Inyo County, Mono County, and Fresno County sheriff's departments was underway Saturday. 664
