Can someone in this election truly be undecided in this election? Sure they can. With less than 70 days to go until the election, undecided voters are poised to play a deciding role in whether President Donald Trump or Joe Biden is the president of the United States come the end of January. GEOGRAPHY MATTERSWhile undecided voters matter everywhere, they really matter in crucial counties in swing states. Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, is one example. In 2008 and 2012, this county, which encompasses towns like Wilkes-Barre, voted for President Barack Obama. In 2016, the county voted for Trump. Luzerne is one of three counties in Pennsylvania to have flipped like that. Political scientists refer to counties like these as "pivot counties." WHAT UNDECIDED VOTERS ARE SAYINGRobert Rinaldi is a school bus driver in the county. His lunch buddy, Gene, at D's Diner likes Trump but Rinaldi isn't sure. CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago's Second City comedy theater is up for sale. The sale, announced Tuesday, is the second in the company's 60-year history. In a statement released by investment banker Houlihan Lokey, co-owner Andrew Alexander said a sale presents the opportunity for Second City to continue to succeed well into the future. Second City suspended all its shows and classes in early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic until further notice. Second City faced controversy in June when Alexander stepped down from the training and performance troupe due to allegations of racism within the company. CARMEL, Indiana — The family of a Carmel High School student who took his own life after getting in trouble at school has filed a lawsuit against the school district.Patrick McCalley got in trouble for a Snapchat message, showing a noose around the neck of an African-American schoolmate. McCalley died by suicide after the school had him sign an affidavit over the incident without his parents being notified.His parents are now suing the Carmel-Clay School District for negligence and for violations of due process of the Fourth Amendment's ban on unreasonable searches. 610

Buried at the core of "Mulan" is the concept of deception. Deceiving others for the perceived greater good, deceiving an overzealous enemy and even deceiving one's self at a steep price.All of them are at play in the long-awaited, oft-disappointing live-action remake.There are some things going for the oft-dull film.Director Niki Caro, who proved adept at inspirational tales with "Whale Rider," "North Country" and "McFarland, USA," has a pulse on the heart of the feminist fable, about a woman who masquerades as a man to protect her family and homeland. The visuals are dynamic, and the casting is note-perfect.Martial arts legends Jet Li, Donnie Yen and Gong Li play significant roles, and the cinematography and choreography often recalls exaggerated, Ang Lee-style theatrics.The core of the film -- that Mulan could convincingly trick her military comrades into thinking she's a man -- falls flat. While Liu Yifei thrives with the athletic ability and emotion needed in the lead role, the makeup department did her no favors. She looks more like a supermodel than a rough-hewn male soldier. Scenes in which men assume her gender are unintentionally funny.The new "Mulan" takes a more somber and serious tone than the original, swapping out the Eddie Murphy-voiced comic relief dragon Mushu for a CGI Phoenix, and subduing most musical moments in favor of tense, overly dry brooding.It's been a long and rough wait for superfans. Originally slated for a July 24 release, the movie was bumped to August 21, before landing September 4 on Disney+ as a early access add-on. It will be free on the app December 4, and unless you're a superfan, you're best off waiting until then.At least fans will be able to be mildly disappointed in the comfort of their own homes, and be able to hit pause if they get a little drowsy.There is impressive artistry at work. The film is every bit as gorgeous and sweeping as Disney's best live-action remakes: "The Jungle Book" and "The Lion King."Add this one to the pile of disappointing live-action remakes of Disney classics, along with "Aladdin," "Dumbo," "Alice in Wonderland," "Lady and the Tramp" and "Beauty and the Beast."The movie's legacy may well be what it does for boosting Disney's app and changing the way studios sell movies to the public. CATALINA, Calif. (KGTV) - Teeth marks from a great white shark are proof of a San Diego kayaker's narrow brush with danger off the coast of Catalina Island. The incident happened as Danny McDaniel and Jon Chambers were kayaking Saturday morning near Ship Rock, about two miles east of Catalina. The excursion was part of a scuba diving trip coordinated by Power Scuba from the island's Boy Scouts camp."Felt push to the left, looked to right, giant great white shark a foot from my boot," said McDaniel. "His upper half of body was out of the water, his dorsal fin was out of the water."Chambers was the first to notice the 19-foot shark before McDaniel turned around."Look at it and said, 'oh crap, oh crap, oh crap'," said Chambers. "I yelled at him to hit it."The shark had its jaws clamped on the back of the nine-foot-long kayak, inches from McDaniel. "Saw a giant, triangular, conical-shaped head right there and a huge body. Just a massive body," said McDaniel.Both men said they were frozen in fear as the great white shark hung on to the kayak for four or five seconds. Eventually, the shark let go, leaving behind puncture wounds and two large teeth in the kayak. "I don't think he took a full chomp. I think he just took a nibble and pushed," said McDaniel.The kayakers kept their paddles out of the water and did not move for several moments lest the shark return. McDaniel was "literally frozen" during that time.Despite the close encounter, McDaniel and Chambers continued with their plan to scuba dive later Saturday evening."Won't keep me out of the water, won't scare me out of the water," McDaniel said of the encounter.McDaniel offered to buy the kayak from the Boy Scout camp, which turned down his offer, according to Power Scuba owner Bill Powers."I think I've had my fill of great white sharks; I'm good.
