(KGTV) - The mother of two girls found dead in their San Bernardino County home will be charged with their murders when she is released from the hospital, Ontario police said Thursday. Officers said Linda Nguyen, 47, was placed under arrest and will be booked when she is medically cleared. She is currently unresponsive, police said. The bodies of Nguyen’s daughters, aged 4 months and 14 years, were discovered by their father Tuesday when he returned home from work. Among the evidence were two suicides notes written by Nguyen “indicating that she intended to kill the children and to kill herself," police Sgt. Bill Russell told reporters. "We do know that the mother was dealing with depression prior to the incident and had dealt with that in the past," he said. (KGTV) -- The Director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday the agency has given the go-ahead for Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine to be administered, CNN reported.The CDC says the vaccine may be given to those 16 and older.The approval means shots can now be given in the United States, CNN reports. Friday, the FDA granted emergency use authorization for the vaccine.Following the announcement, the first trucks carrying vaccines pulled out of a Michigan manufacturing plant Sunday morning.The Associated Press reported that the initial doses of the vaccine will likely be limited to healthcare workers and those in nursing homes.More than 325,000 doses of the vaccine were making their way to California Sunday as cases continue to spike.So far, the Golden State has seen more than 1,521,000 cases and nearly 21,000 deaths.According to San Diego County officials, the first 28,000 doses of the vaccine will be distributed to Rady Children’s Hospital, UCSD, and the county. 1017

His latest was in Minnesota on Wednesday in front of thousands, a day before he announced he tested positive for COVID-19."Rolling into the last month the president was planning to be on the campaign trail, in front of large crowds, where he thrives, the venue where he performs the best, and this is certainly an obstacle to that style of campaigning," said Thad Kousser, a political analyst at UC San Diego.Kousser said depending on what happens, an already political virus could make for different conclusions from each side."It'll confirm the worries that Joe Biden supporters had that the country and the nation and its president weren't taking the pandemic seriously enough," Kousser said. "If President Trump, as we all hope has a quick recovery, I think that will confirm the belief that the Trump base has that this is something that we can overcome."Kousser says he expects Joe Biden to continue to campaign on the road, but even more carefully.He says if either candidate were to become incapacitated it would make for an even more chaotic election because ballots will have already started going out.Kousser says each party has policies in place to select a replacement candidate should the need arise. (KGTV) - San Diegans looking to find a new job - or get a better one - will soon have a new resource to help them get there. Goodwill Industries San Diego is finishing a more than 4,000 square-foot job training center in San Ysidro, which it plans to open Sept. 13. The 0,000 facility is replacing the organization's rack store at 630 Front St. in San Ysidro, which moved to a new location. The center will offer free career counseling, meeting spaces for interviews, open computers, and even job fairs - all free to San Diegans looking for work, or a bigger paycheck. RELATED: California is the sixth-worst state for retirement."So even if they get a job, that job that just puts food on the table, we want them to continue to come to us so that we can support them, so they can get that better job," said Toni Giffin, CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Diego County. The state reports that there are still about 58,000 San Diegans who are unemployed, even with the jobless rate near a record low of 3.7 percent.
