BONITA (CNS) - A man and a woman in their 80s were found dead inside their Bonita home by a relative checking on their welfare, authorities said Friday.San Diego County sheriff's deputies responded at 2:56 p.m. Thursday to the residence in the 5500 block of Pray Street, Lt. Michael Blevins said.The relative had stopped to check on them because they had not heard from the couple in days, Blevins said."Both had traumatic injuries," he said.Sheriff's homicide detectives were investigating, Blevins said. BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore Police are investigating the shooting of a 5-year-old girl on the 1000 block of McKean Street in West Baltimore on Monday evening.According to an official with the mayor's office, the 5-year-old girl is the younger sister of 7-year-old Taylor Hayes who was shot in the backseat of a car in July and was pronounced dead two weeks later.Officers were called to an area hospital for a report of the 5-year-old walk-in shooting victim who was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to her groin.Investigators say that residents in the area of the 1000 block of McKean Street heard several gunshots when someone looked outside and saw the girl laying on the sidewalk suffering from her gunshot wound.A person then picked up the girl from the sidewalk and drove her to an area hospital.The young girl was immediately rushed into surgery and is expected to survive.Officials believe that the girl was caught in the middle of a shootout involving suspects in an unknown car and suspects on foot. 1077

BEECH GROVE, Ind. — A man has been arrested after he recorded himself dumping a bag of flour onto the head of a 68-year-old woman at a Beech Grove, Indiana Walmart on Wednesday. An off-duty IMPD officer working at the Walmart on Emerson Avenue just after 10 a.m. when he was informed of the incident. The 68-year-old woman was shopping in the store when a man she didn't know snuck up behind her and dumped an entire bag of flour on her head. The suspect, Phillip Weaver, 22, recorded the incident on Facebook Live and shared it on his social media page. Weaver was arrested Thursday afternoon. He's been preliminarily charged with battery, theft, theft of a firearm and criminal mischief in reference to that incident. Final charges will be determined by the Marion County Prosecutor's office. The incident remains under investigation.  A quick view at Weaver's social media pages shows that he regularly records himself doing what he calls "pranks" to other people in public places and shares them with his followers. BONSALL, Calif. (KGTV) — The San Luis Rey Downs Country Club and Golf Course shut down after being a popular spot for many in the community for over 50 years.After four years of being a vacant property, a new project is underway to revamp the area. The Myrtle Creek Botanical Garden and Nursery has purchased the buildings that used to house the restaurant and banquet rooms. They’ll be revamping the inside and adding updates.The marketing director for Myrtle Creek, Kevin MacGregor tells 10News, “It’ll be basically what it was for the past 50 years, but with our spin on it minus the golf course of course”.RELATED: Evacuated horses begin to return home to San Luis Rey Downs after Lilac FireThe County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation tells 10News they purchased 200 acres from the golf course when it first shut down. They have plans to protect the natural habitats in the area with possibly adding some hiking trails. No revamped golf course is in any plans.Neighbors in the area are looking forward to the day the lot won’t be vacant and instead will bring them restaurants and bars right to their neighborhood.They tell 10News, over the past four years there’s been a problem with added trash and vandalism on the property. Myrtle Creek has plans to turn it into a 23-room boutique hotel.Christine Hoffman has lived in the neighborhood for 25 years, she even played on the golf course when it was open.Hoffman tells us the past four years have been sad for the neighbors nearby."To see it go in such disrepair the last few years is kind of heartbreaking," Hoffman said.Hoffman, like many other neighbors, are looking forward to the project.
