Multiple fire departments are fighting a massive house fire in Chandler early Thursday morning. An official at the scene near says the fire started around 3 a.m. local time in a second-story bedroom. Three residents of the multi-million-dollar property were able to get out safely, but they are now displaced.Video from the scene showed the blaze engulfing the home and huge smoke plumes billowing from the home. Multiple people were busy Monday morning in Fort Pierce rescuing baby sea turtles that were stuck in seaweed from the high surf and strong winds of Hurricane Irma.The rescue was occurring at 10 a.m. at Jetty Park. A man named Eric said he spoke with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, who told him to put wet sand in a bucket and collect the stranded turtles.    FWC originally said to put the turtles back into the water but later changed their mind.“Originally FWC told me to put them back into the water, but we noticed that they were just coming right back onto the shore because the waves are just too strong for these little creatures,” said Eric.He said when other people in the area saw what he was doing, they jumped in to help with the rescue.The group of people were frantically digging through a massive mound of seaweed with their bare hands to save as many turtles as possible.By 10 a.m., the group had rescued about 50 to 60 baby sea turtles and nine eggs that were not broken. Unfortunatly they found about 20 small turtles that did not survive Irma.FWC said they come by later to collect the turtles.  1181

Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens, who was indicted on a felony charge last month, is showing no sign that he will back down in the face of the scandal, running a radio ad this weekend touting his conservative mission and saying he "won't stop until the mission is complete."The ad, paid for by Greitens' campaign, does not explicitly address the controversy surrounding the Republican governor, but says liberals are "hell-bent on stopping his conservative reforms.""Even Satan's own lawyers from the Satanic Temple are suing Greitens," the narrator of the ad says in reference to a lawsuit by the Satanic Temple against the state of Missouri over its abortion laws.The governor's campaign has so far put ,000 behind the spot, according to one source with knowledge of the buy. It is set to air Thursday through Tuesday, coinciding with the Easter holiday."Eric Greitens is on a conservative mission for Missouri," the ad concludes, "and he won't stop until the mission is complete."Greitens was indicted in February on an invasion of privacy charge stemming from an extramarital affair he had in 2015. Greitens has admitted to the affair but denied breaking the law.The indictment against Greitens alleges he photographed a person in "full or partial nudity" without the person's knowledge or consent."Greitens then transmitted that image "in a manner that allowed access to that image via a computer," the indictment alleges.Greitens, who has been accused of blackmailing the woman with whom he was having an affair, has denied the charge, saying in a statement in February, "As I have said before, I made a personal mistake before I was Governor. More than 1,400 Americans died of the virus on Tuesday, the most recorded in a single day since 1,500 Americans died of the virus on Aug. 12.Tuesday's tally shattered the previous record of 128,000, which was set on Saturday. NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man who was apparently shot with an arrow was found dead in National City Monday afternoon.According to National City Police, the incident was reported at around 2:30 p.m. near the 1800 block of Wilson Avenue.After the shooting, the suspect reportedly called police saying he shot an arrow into a man. The suspect told police there was a fight before the shooting.NCPD Captain Alex Hernandez said the suspect showed officers where the victim was located. The victim was found in what appeared to be a homeless encampment and pronounced dead at the scene."We were able to recover the bow and some other items that were nearby as evidence," said Hernandez.Police say a woman who was believed to be with the two men at the time of the shooting was questioned. All three are believed to be transients living in the encampment where the incident took place, police say.While the deceased man was not identified, National City police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Miguel Venegas; he was booked into jail on a suspicion of murder charge. 1080
