SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Several City Heights homes were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after authorities responding to a medical call found possible military ordnance. The incident began after San Diego Police were called to the scene to investigate a death at 50th and Wightman Streets around 2 p.m. Shortly after police arrived, San Diego Fire Rescue says bomb units responded to the area after what is believed to be a military ordnance was discovered. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Several bubble-like domes will cover Liberty Station early next year, offering locals the chance to dine under the stars.Dinner With a View will offer San Diegans a dining experience inside one of 33 intimate, clear domes in Liberty Station's central promenade from Feb. 6, 2020, to March 8, 2020. Tickets for the dining experience go on sale Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. online.Diners who grab a ticket will enjoy a three-course menu prepared by an acclaimed chef. While San Diego's chef has yet to be announced, Toronto's pop-up was led by Canada "Top Chef" winner René Rodriguez.A blind menu featuring meat, fish, and vegan options will be served to guests. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Several US Navy Sailors put on their uniforms on their days off to help deliver meals to San Diego-area military veterans. Meals on Wheels President Debbie Case said they deliver 500,000 meals every year and about 42 percent of those meals go to veterans.“To see the active duty and the respect that they have for these veterans is incredible,” said Case.Meals on Wheels makes 1,400 deliveries every day. That means more than 500 are for veterans.Case added they also started delivering to disabled veterans no matter how old they are or when they ended their service. 610

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police released video Thursday of a random assault outside a North Park 7-Eleven.The assault happened February 15 about 9 p.m. at the store on 3019 Meade Ave., at 30th St., police said.The woman was standing outside the store in front of the Redbox video rental machine when the man walked up behind her.Surveillance video shows the man push the woman. She fell to the ground and was injured. There's no word on her condition.The attack appears to be random.Anyone with information about the man is asked to call San Diego Police. 567
