Gifts for non-family is expected to see a jump from 6 in 2018 to 2 in 2019.Non-gift spending is expected to increase from 5 in 2018 to 2 this year, as consumers said they will take advantage of discounts offered during the holiday season. “Younger consumers are helping drive the spending increase this year,” Prosper Insights Executive Vice President of Strategy Phil Rist said. “They’re not just spending on their immediate family members, they’re also treating their larger circle of co-workers and friends to gifts.” More than half of shoppers between the ages of 25 and 34 (52 percent) plan to purchase gifts for co-workers, and 82 percent of those between 18 and 24 plan to purchase gifts for their friends. 2285

We necessarily need sanitizing equipment, supportive PPE equipment. We need to ensure that ratios are high and group size is low, and that the physical space and the distances that are needed as well as the equipment and resources are available,” said Lynette Fraga, Executive Director of Child Care Aware of America. Child Care Aware of America says it's possible that anywhere from 30 to 50% of facilities nationwide could close permanently, depending on how long the pandemic goes on. That's with the increasing cost of much needed added health and safety measures. Also, some places are getting less money because they're keeping classrooms smaller now.“That means those providers that are open those prices may really be affected for parents, so any way you may look at this equation, the price of care is a real concern for parents and the price for providers to provide that care is a real concern,” said Fraga. And what is it doing there?A family in Highland, Michigan, believes their house is haunted and what's even more disturbing is that whatever is haunting the home is doing harm to their little girl.Heather Brough and Joshua Higgins say they couldn't believe what they saw on their nanny cam."It’s almost like she sees something that we don’t," Brough said. It’s an image she and Higgins say is haunting their home."It was chilling," Higgins said. "It was literally a chill down your spine, like that 'what if' factor — is this what I just saw?"Caught on the couple's nanny cam video a few weeks ago is what appears to be something moving in front of the baby crib. The couple says it appears to be a ghost."I freaked out," Brough said. "I stopped what I was doing and I ran upstairs and grabbed my daughter."She says this so-called ghost scratched her daughter Lily and attacked her too."It scares us that it could do something else," Brough said. "I mean, there was a morning I woke up and I felt like someone’s hands were around my neck."A team of paranormal investigators came in and tried to answer some of the couple's questions and concerns.
