SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Deadly crashes rose in San Diego in 2018, according to a new report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. According to the report, there were 240 deadly crashes in San Diego County in 2018.In 2017, 223 deadly crashes were reported countywide, the agency said. According to the data, January and July were the deadliest months in 2018, each with 28 fatal crashes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - California state Assemblyman and San Deigo mayoral candidate Todd Gloria said he received serious threats of physical violence through social media Wednesday evening.Officials from Gloria's campaign said Thursday that the threats have been reported to the San Diego Police Department and are being investigated. ABC 10News reached out to SDPD Thursday regarding the threats, but the department did not immediately respond.Gloria's campaign said the threats come after former San Diego City Councilman Carl DeMaio flooded voters with texts attacking Gloria for his support of SB-145.The bill lets a judge decide whether to force someone to register as a sex offender in certain circumstances after having sex with a minor. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Crews Thursday rescued a woman they say broke her leg while hiking above Blacks Beach.According to authorities, the incident happened around 2 p.m. in the Box Canyon area. Lifeguards say a woman in her 20s fell while hiking in the area and broke her leg.A helicopter could be seen lifting the woman from the canyon and taking her to a nearby hospital.Her condition is unknown at this time. 417
