Not because NAFTA wasn't made better, because overall trade policy and how he deals with it made everything worse," Biden said.Biden was asked whether Trump should be given credit for the USMCA. Biden said the Obama White House was unable to renegotiate NAFTA because of Congress. For the first two years of the Obama administration, both the House and Senate were held by Democrats.“Because we had a Republican Congress that wouldn't go along with us renegotiating,” Biden told Tapper.In 2008, both Biden and Obama campaigned on changing the US trade agreement between Mexico and Canada. The USMCA, which became effective this year, was amended by Congress, but ultimately won bipartisan support from leaders of both party.The interview with Tapper was taped in Michigan and aired hours before Trump held a campaign rally in the state.On Monday, Trump said, “Biden supported NAFTA. He supported China’s entry into the World Trade Organization. Two disasters. The most disastrous trade deals in history, both of them. The U.S. Marine Corps says it has lifted a "shelter-in-place" order at the Air Ground Combat Center (AGCC) in Twentynine Palms, California following earlier reports of an "active shooter."According to a statement from the Marines, the order was enacted when an "individual" suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the base at about 8:30 a.m. PT. No other injuries were reported. The person who fired the gun has been transported to a local medical center for treatment.The Marines say they are investigating.Shortly after 8:30 a.m., the Marines tweeted that they were "aware of reports" of an active shooter at the AGCC. Later, both KESQ-TV in Palm Springs, California and KTTV-TV in Los Angeles reported — citing a base spokesperson — that a suspect had been taken into custody and that there were no reports of injuries. The Southeastern Conference decided Thursday that they are only playing SEC teams this season amid the coronavirus pandemic.The SEC will play 10-conference games. They also decided to push their kickoff date to September 26 and the Championship Game will be played on December 19."This new plan for a football schedule is consistent with the educational goals of our universities to allow for the safe and orderly return to campus of their student populations and to provide a healthy learning environment during these unique circumstances presented by the COVID-19 virus," SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a news release. "This new schedule supports the safety measures that are being taken by each of our institutions to ensure the health of our campus communities."A revised football schedule, which will first need to be approved by SEC athletic directors will be sent out at a later date, conference officials said.The SEC joins the Pac-12 and Big Ten conferences to be playing conference-only games.According to The Associated Press, the ACC will play an 11-game schedule with one non-conference game. 1120

Ennis, 28, reported that Foster pushed and slapped her during an encounter on November 24 at a hotel, police said.Ennis' attorney, Adante Pointer, released photos of Ennis' injuries after the assault."After having endured this relationship and then watching her name be tarnished in the press and then watching this person, from her perspective, go unpunished, she wanted to make sure that her side of the story got out," Pointer said.Ennis told GMA it was the third time an incident like this one had happened, including a February case in Los Gatos, California, that resulted in a criminal charge against Foster that was later dismissed and another occasion in October when "neighbors called the police."CNN reached out Thursday to Foster for comment.
