Now, in addition to listing those side effects, you could soon be hearing about the costs.A new proposal from the Trump administration would force manufacturers to state a drug's list price in any TV advertisement.It was a goal first laid out by Human and Health Services Secretary Alex Azar back in May."If we wanna have a real market for drugs, why not have them disclose their prices in the ads too?” asked Azar. “Consumers would have more balanced info and companies would have incentives for setting their prices…"Experts on drug pricing, like John Hopkins University's Gerard Anderson, say it’s about time."If you’re buying a TV, they'll tell you what a TV costs. If the grocery store’s having a sale, they’ll say how much oranges cost. This is something that should be and is just long overdue in the pharma industry,” Anderson says.Pharmaceutical companies have pushed back via their trade group, which said that posting prices on TV could be "misleading or confusing.” Their proposal was to, instead, tell consumers that pricing information could be found on the drug's website."The problem is that most of us would never go to their website to look up that information,” Anderson explains. “And the FDA would have to monitor closely the info on their site and that could change daily. In cases like the tweet sent by Trump on Tuesday, Twitter said that the tweet is still viewable due to “public interest.”The tweet in question from Trump reads, “There will never be an ‘Autonomous Zone’ in Washington, D.C., as long as I’m your President. If they try they will be met with serious force!”Trump’s post came in response to several hundred protesters being pushed out of Lafayette Park Monday night after they attempted to bring down a statue of Theodore Roosevelt. Several protesters then crossed the street to the St. John’s Episcopal Church and spray painted that the area is an “autonomous zone.” The church was the site of a now infamous photo op featuring the president moments after officers used tear gas on a largely peaceful protest to clear the area.Twitter issued the following warning along with the tweet:“This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about abusive behavior. President Donald Trump has issued pardons to a number of his supporters, most notably former campaign adviser George Papadopoulos and Representatives Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter.Papadopoulos was among the first to be criminally charged in Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. Papadopoulos pleaded guilty in connection to lying to officials over his contact with the Russian government while working as a Trump campaign adviser.Papadopoulos was sentenced to 14 days in prison.The Trump administration claims that the pardon “correct the wrong that Mueller’s team inflicted on so many people.”Collins resigned his seat in Congress last year after he pleaded guilty to insider trading and lying to law enforcement. He was serving a 26-month sentence.Hunter was set to go to prison next month after he pleaded guilty to misusing campaign funds. Hunter was to serve an 11-month sentence.Alex van der Zwaan, who was sentenced for 30 days for lying to federal authorities, was among those pardoned. He was the first person convicted from Mueller's investigation. Also among the pardons were Nicholas Slatten, Paul Slough, Evan Liberty, and Dustin Heard. According to reports, the four men were convicted in killing 14 civilians in Baghdad during the war in Iraq. Slatten faced a life sentence, while the other three were handed 30-year sentences for the deaths. In all, Trump issued 15 full pardons and commuted all or part of five additional people. 1498
