Target is recalling Room Essentials 4-drawer dressers due to tip-over and entrapment hazards.According to Target, the recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or injuries to children. Target has received 12 reports of dressers tipping or collapsing. The recalled dressers have been sold in three colors and measure 41 7/8 inches tall by 31 ? inches wide by 15 11/16 inches deep. Texas kicked off early voting Tuesday. People stood in long lines, voting in ways they've never done before. Some lined up before daylight on sidewalks outside major sports arenas to allow for more physical distancing.Early voting started Monday in Georgia and nearly 127,000 people cast their ballot, a first day record for the state.“There were hours-long wait times in some locations and glitches that added to the challenges,” said Mike Lydon, a principal at Street Plans. “Voting rights and having access to a safe and convenient polling location is going to really drive participation.”Street Plans is an urban planning and consulting firm that deals with transportation. They got a grant over the summer to put together a physical design plan for cities to best cope with social distancing, capacity restrictions and high voter turnout.“How you can make use of streets and public spaces to alleviate some of those issues and of course add some comfort elements like tents, seats, sanitation stations periodically throughout the queue,” said Lydon.The plans cover all types of polling locations, and how to properly do drive-up, curbside, outdoor and indoor voting.There are many potential problems for election officials when situations can change quickly.“COVID being this unknown variable, you could have a spike in the next three weeks at a certain location and that might totally change what was planned for in person indoor voting to go outdoors,” said Lydon.Street Plans is also offering free consulting assistance to cities. TAMPA, Fla. — A kitten in Florida is recovering after being stabbed in the face with a dart.Jennifer Tate volunteers with the St. Francis Society Animal Rescue and she can’t wait to bring home the kitten.“We saved a cat about two and half years ago that had been shot with an arrow and we named him Sir Robin. So, we thought it would be appropriate to name her Maid Marian, the love interest of Sir Robin Hood," said Tate.Hillsborough County Animal Services is trying to find out who’s responsible for hurting the cat.“The person that found her said she could not open her mouth, so it had pierced all the way through and actually into part of her throat," Tate said.Someone found the kitten on Aimiee Court, south of Bearss Avenue in Tampa.“It’s horrific. How does somebody walk up to a cat and jam something into her face? And walk away. How do you sleep at night," said Tate.If Maid Marian is ready, she’ll have surgery Friday at Gulf Coast Veterinary Center.Tate will foster her, but eventually, the hope is the kitten will be adopted.“We want her to have the best life and to be able to put this behind her. Texas Southern University in Houston evacuated its campus on Wednesday due to a bomb threat received by the Houston Police Department directed at the university. The university announced on its social media channels that all classes are canceled for the rest of the day, and that all students, faculty and employees should evacuate campus. Houston Police said it received the threat via its emergency call center around 1:40 p.m. CT on Wednesday. As of late Wednesday afternoon, there have not been any confirmed bombs found on campus. Texas Southern is a public historically black university with an enrollment of nearly 10,000. 667
