Kmart announced on Tuesday an exchanged program for those with defunct Toys 'R' Us gift cards. Toys 'R' Us is in the midst of closing all of its stores, and liquidating products. Earlier in May, the retailer stopped accepting gift cards. Kmart said it will allow those with gift cards to Toys 'R' Us to exchange cards for  of FREECASH in points through the in-store exchange. The offer runs through the end of July. In order to take advantage of the offer, Kmart customers will need to join the Shop Your Way program. The offer is good even on expired gift cards. "Kmart has long been a family shopping destination for expecting and current parents," said Leena Munjal, chief digital officer for Sears Holdings Corporation. Apple announced on Friday that it is planning to temporarily close several of its locations in four states as the number of coronavirus cases in some US states are surging.Apple said that two stores in Florida, two in North Carolina, one in South Carolina and six in Arizona will be closed until further notice. An 18-year-old Nebraska student was arrested earlier this week after police say he threatened to shoot classmates that joined a nationwide movement to walk out of classes in support of gun control.Nicholas J. Scott, 18, a student at Bellevue West High School, was arrested Thursday and booked into the Sarpy County Jail on felony charges of making terroristic threats of violence and possession of a destructive device.Bellevue Police had been investigating a verbal threat reportedly made Wednesday about shooting students at the high school who participated in a planned student walkout as part of a nationwide student protests against gun violence in schools.Police said Scott had been taken out of school by a parent before officers were able to speak with him, according to the press release. But Scott was later contacted and agreed to meet with officers on Thursday. It was at this meeting that he was arrested, the release states.Officers later conducted a search of Scott's bedroom as part of the investigation, finding "various unassembled materials that are commonly known to be used in the manufacturing of explosive devices," which were seized by Bellevue Police as evidence, the release states.Scott remains in the custody of the Sarpy County Jail."The (Bellevue) Police Department would like to publicly thank those who came forward with the information regarding this case," the release states. "The safety guideline of 'Hear Something, Say Something' played an extremely important role in quickly bringing this incident to a safe resolve." 1654

As a 17-year-old faces charges of reckless and intentional homicide, we are learning more about the three people he shot, killing two, and the steps they took to try and stop the suspect.The suspect had reportedly clashed with a crowd of people Tuesday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The demonstrators were out for a third night after the Sunday shooting of Jacob Blake by Kenosha officers.
