You know, farm to table has become a thing nationwide, but farm to table has existed here as long as I've cooked. We just didn't call it that. We just called the farmer and they brought it to our table," he laughed. "So, I think the ability to get the products that we're able to get here, there aren't many places in America that can do what we do." Symon says they're adding a new BBQ sauce at Mable's. A mustard-vinegar sauce is his Cleveland staple. They call it "Cleveland BBQ sauce."He says the new one is a sweet, tomato-based sauce that will be called, "Not Cleveland BBQ sauce!"When asked about his cannot-miss stops when he's in town, Symon says he has a lot of great chef friends and peers he greatly admires, but said he has a lot of respect for Karen Small, the owner and executive chef of Flying Fig."She's a spectacular human being, a spectacular chef, and she sources product like no other," said Symon. Every year, a motorcycle gang rides through the serene mountains of southern Utah. However, it’s not your typical pack of motorcyclists. It’s a group of dentists from all over the world, riding to raise money.Steven Anderson is the co-founder of Smiles for Life, a charity that’s raised nearly million, thanks to motorcycle rides like this one in Utah.“All the proceeds from this ride go to fund a dental humanitarian initiative that we do in several third-world countries,” Anderson says.These fundraisers help families and children across the globe who have little to no access to dental care.“We’ve trained people from around the world to do dentistry that haven’t been to dental school, and they now have a way to earn a living for their families,” says Roy Hammond, who has been a dentist for more than 30 years.Hammond started Miles for Life almost 20 years ago. “It changed my life, my outlook, on the world that we live in and the hardships of the people and lack of access to the comforts of life we have,” Hammond says.Dentist Ron Massie came from Missouri to ride with the other dentists and their families. He says he rides to get the word out about the lack of dental care around the world.Just like the perspective they get from riding on the open road, the motorcyclists learned there is more to life than what money can buy. CINCINNATI — The Scripps National Spelling Bee is suspending the 2020 national finals in National Harbor, Maryland. The Bee recognizes the important responsibility to take action that protects the health and well-being of its participants including the spellers, their families, the local sponsors, employees of The E.W. Scripps Company and others who support the event known as Bee Week. The executive order from Maryland Governor Larry Hogan prohibiting gatherings of more than 50 people until the termination of the state of emergency in Maryland as well as recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention underscore the decision to suspend the national finals.The suspension includes all in-person events and the live national broadcast the week of May 24. If possible, the Bee will work with local sponsors, spellers, convention partners and ESPN to reschedule the 93rd Scripps National Spelling Bee for later this year. The world is navigating through uncertainty, and while the timing of the national finals is just outside the eight-week window recommended by the CDC, this is the safest and most responsible action. This was a difficult decision that unfortunately will disappoint students who have spent a great deal of time studying and preparing, along with their parents and teachers who have supported them. Country star Travis Tritt's tour bus was involved in a fatal car wreck as it was leaving Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, early Saturday morning, the musician said on Twitter.Two people were killed and another was injured in the multi-vehicle accident, Horry County Fire Rescue said. Two vehicles and Tritt's tour bus were involved in the wreck. No one on the tour bus was injured, but Tritt was shaken by the experience, according to his twitter.A Jeep was traveling in the wrong direction and crashed into a Chevrolet truck head-on, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. According to Tritt, the driver was going the wrong way on South Carolina Highway 22, also known as Veterans Highway. His bus was sideswiped when trying to avoid the wreck but sustained only minor damage.The celebrity said the wreck was the result of someone driving while under the influence."I’m told that two people were killed in tonight’s accident as the the result of someone who was obviously driving drunk or impaired," Tritt said on Twitter.
