U.S. officials say the nation’s first COVID-19 vaccine will begin arriving in states Monday morning. Army Gen. Gustave Perna said Saturday that trucks will roll out Sunday morning as shipping companies UPS and FedEx begin delivering Pfizer’s vaccine to nearly 150 distribution centers across the states. TUCSON, ARIZ. — A U.S. Deputy Marshal died in the line of duty on Thursday in a shooting with a suspect.The Marshal was serving an active felony warrant around 5:30 p.m. for 26-year-old Ryan Schlesinger for stalking law enforcement when the marshal was shot on scene.The Tucson Police Department confirmed that the fallen marshal was not alone at the scene and was with other officers.After the shooting occurred, police officers responded by sending units to the scene and surrounding the house.Schlesinger surrendered to police and per the Tucson Police Department, was not injured and brought into custody without incident.The Marshal was rushed with the hospital but died from injuries.The Tucson Police Department is not releasing the name of the fallen marshal at this time, but U.S. Marshal David Gonzales, who serves the district of Arizona, is at the hospital with personnel.The department is working with federal agencies to investigate the situation and is offering their deep condolences to the marshal's family. 1032

Two days after a gunman murdered 11 people worshipping at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, a leader of a controversial sect of Judaism gave a prayer prior to Mike Pence's campaign rally in Michigan.On Monday evening in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pence invited Rabbi Loren Jacobs of the Synagogue Shema Yisrael in Michigan to lead a prayer. In his prayer, Jacobs prayed to the "God and father of my lord and savior, Yahshua, Jesus the Messiah."Messianic Jews believe that Jesus is the Messiah promised by the prophets, though they still follow traditional Jewish religious laws. VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) -- The owner of a Valley Center pizza shop was arrested for alleged sexual battery, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. According to the Department, Mark Desimone, the owner of Pizza Pazza was arrested on September 5 for multiple counts of sexual battery. The department says the arrest stems from an investigation by detectives in Valley Center. According to investigators, the incidents occurred at Pizza Pazza at an unspecified time.
