Simpson at The Cosmopolitan Wednesday. Simpson was thrown out of the hotel-casino after accusations of being drunk. According to two witnesses, Simpson wasn't seen drinking and was not being unruly."He was very nice, very cordial," said Michelle Messer.Simpson's lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne, told KTNV that the story about Simpson being drunk at The Cosmopolitan is completely untrue.LaVergne says that Simpson is a social drinker, meaning he usually orders one drink and sips on it while socializing, and that he was at the Cosmopolitan to eat chicken wings.LaVergne also told KTNV that the hotel-casino had apparently decided before Simpson's visit to trespass him from the property. LaVergne says that after Simpson was notified, he left the hotel-casino quietly.In addition, Simpson is challenging anyone with proof that he was drunk and belligerent to come forward. LITTLETON, Colo. — In one Colorado neighborhood, life is quiet, which makes what happened last Sunday hard to understand for many residents.A man named Scott Smith was arrested after claiming that his wife, Kanokwan Smith, tried to kill him with a butcher knife in their Littleton home. In an affidavit detailing the incident, he said he had no choice but to shoot and kill her. As of Sunday evening, Scott had not been charged in connection to the case and he is not in custody.For neighbor Dominique Naylor, who has known Kanokwan for more than a decade, the pain is unbearable. She said she was a hard worker and juggled three jobs."She’ll never be able to wrap her arms around her little girl again and he shouldn’t have that right," Naylor said. (KGTV) — Police are searching for a man who disappeared from an independent living facility in la Mesa.La Mesa Police say Attila "Al" Buki left his home in the 7900 block of Culowee Street at about 7 p.m. on Sunday and did not return.Buki was on foot and does not have access to a vehicle, police say. He also has cognitive delays and suffers from dementia.Buki frequents the area near La Mesa Springs Shopping Center, police added.He's described as a Caucasian man, who was last seen wearing a long grey polo shirt, dark grey sweatpants, and Velcro sandals.Anyone with information as to Buki's whereabouts is asked to call La Mesa Police at 619-667-1400. 679
