As the nationwide unemployment rate continues to sit in unprecedented territory, the dramatic job loss numbers also mean millions of Americans have suddenly found themselves without health insurance.Experts call it a cruel twist during the pandemic, meaning many people who get sick with COVID-19 may not get the health care help they need because they don’t have coverage.“We have massive numbers of people who are worried about their health but who no longer have coverage,” said Michelle Johnson, who oversees the nonprofit Tennessee Justice Center.Johnson says calls to her organization have increased dramatically in the last few months as Americans are finding themselves uninsured after losing their jobs due to COVID-19.“We’re just going to continue seeing people who are losing their insurance,” she said.According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, nearly 27 million people in the United States may have lost employer-sponsored insurance. Roughly half of Americans receive health insurance through their jobs. At least seven people have been killed and six attackers "neutralized" Friday in Burkina Faso after attacks on the national army headquarters and the French Embassy, a government minister said.It's not yet clear who was behind the violence in the West African nation's capital, Ouagadougou.France's special envoy to Africa's Sahel region, Jean-Marc Chataigner, urged people to avoid the city center in a tweet referring to a "terrorist attack."Rémi Dandjinou, Burkina Faso's minister of communication, told CNN that an explosive device was used in the attack at the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Most of them say you should wear a mask when social distancing is not possible or when you’re inside a business.The CDC also issued a recommendation in April that face coverings should be worn when social distancing is not possible."The hardest thing for me and for others I think is when you’re outside exercising and you’re not within the vicinity of others. And, I think the rules are a little unclear for that. If you’re not within six feet of others then I think it’s okay, but certainly if you’re on a crowded hiking trail, or are in a condition where you’re near others, you should wear a mask and at least put it on when you’re within six feet of others," said Dr. Savor Price.She says the biggest reason to wear a mask isn’t necessarily for your own protection, although you do get moderate protection from them.
