EDEN, the Bronx — Police arrested three people Thursday in connection with the shooting death of a dad gunned down as he crossed a Bronx street with his daughter.Davon Delks, 21, Laquan Heyward, 25 and Devon Vines, 27, were all arrested on murder charges.Anthony Robinson, 29, was holding his 6-year-old daughter's hand when he was fatally shot on July 6. Video showed Robinson, hand in hand with his 6-year-old daughter, look to his left at a Bronx intersection and cross when a car paused to let them go. The driver then pulled up and someone in the vehicle opened fire, striking Robinson repeatedly.Robinson collapsed to the ground at East 170th Street and Sheridan Avenue. MIRAMAR, Calif. (KGTV) - A Marine was honored Thursday after disarming a gunman in the Chesterton neighborhood the week prior.Sgt. Jake McClung received the Navy Commendation Medal at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. According to the Navy and Marines Awards Manual, "It may be awarded to any service member who distinguishes themselves by heroic or meritorious achievement."San Diego Police got a call at 6:18 p.m. on June 4 of a man armed with a rifle, pointing it at families and hitting cars with the gun near Linda Vista Rd. and Wheatley St.McClung was driving through his neighborhood when he saw the man, identified as a Navy sailor in the police report, holding a rifle and threw a firecracker at his vehicle.Sgt. McClung said he parked in his driveway and watched the man walk into the street and point his rifle at cars. McClung said the man's wife and toddler came out to try and talk with him and were crying. McClung said the man pointed the rifle at his family and that's when McClung stepped between the gunman and the family to try and de-escalate the situation.He said the man was acting erratically and that gave the man's wife and child a chance to get inside. McClung said he teamed up with the neighborhood security guard and walked up to the man, trying to calm him.McClung said when he saw an opening he reached for the rifle and was able to disarm him, but he took a couple punches to the face, breaking his nose. McClung said he and the security guard wrestled the sailor to the ground and handcuffed him before police arrived."I don't know if he had PTSD of not, but if he was suicidal I also wanted to protect him, because he had a gun, he was in the middle of the street. The security guard later told me he was about to shoot him, so if that would have happened, it would have cost his life too. Even though he was obviously in the wrong, we have to take care of our own and sometimes taking care of our own means protecting them from themselves," McClung said.The man was arrested on several felony charges, including felony vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of an illegal assault weapon, possession of a large capacity magazine. NASHVILLE, Ind. — Officials with Brown County Schools are investigating an apparent racial incident where a Black student was referred to in a photo caption as "Black Guy" and not by his name.Apparent photos of the yearbook purporting to show the error that has been posted to social media indicate it was a photo of one of the school's basketball teams.Superintendent Dr. Laura Hammack and high school Principal Matthew Stark issued a letter dated Monday that called the incident "a truly reprehensible error.""We acknowledge that yearbook is the only class at this school where all assignments and homework are published for all to see," the statement reads. "We strive for perfection and hope any errors are minor and inconsequential. This is not an inconsequential error."The district has an ongoing investigation and consequences will be determined when the investigation is completed, according to the superintendent and principal's statement."Our district has been working to advance equity and inclusion for all protected classes; however, an occasion like this evidences the need for expanded response," the statement reads. "We are committed to ensuring that Brown County Schools provide a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and equitable school community. Nasim Aghdam, the woman accused of shooting and injuring multiple people at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno before turning the gun on herself, drove up from San Diego, according to KRON.Authorities said they believe the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute. KRON reports that the woman shot her boyfriend and that the others injured were caught in the crossfire. Officials in San Bruno said Tuesday afternoon that three people were wounded and the suspect died of a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound.Police were called to the headquarters just before 1 p.m. and were on scene within two minutes.After arriving on scene, officers found a wounded victim outside the building before encountering a second person, who was likely a suspect, shot from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.Officers later found two others wounded in a nearby business, officials said. Helicopter video shows hundreds of people running out of the building with their hands up after shots reportedly rang out.A witness reported hearing as many as 20 shots, according to KRON. Millions of small businesses that received Paycheck Protection Program loans have been waiting for answers on how and when their loans would be forgiven. Now, the Small Business Administration has announced a plan that would forgive almost 70% of all the loans it gave out.“The new guidance that has come out from treasury department and the SBA aim to ease the process for applying for forgiveness of loans under ,000,” said Molly Day with the National Small Business Association.The new guidance forgives PPP loans that were ,000 or less, but also comes with a new rule. The rule allows businesses with no employees or businesses where the owner is the only employee, can now have most or all of their loan forgiven.Initially, most of the forgivable portion of a PPP loan was that which was used toward paying employees. The new rule also relaxes the scrutiny requirements on lenders to review documentation from small businesses proving how the money was spent.“A lot of small businesses don’t have employees, or they have one employee and that is themselves, adjusting that really makes it a lot more workable for the sole proprietors that are small businesses [and] are doing great work and deserve some assistance as well,” said Day.The forgiveness process laid out by the Small Business Administration does not have the usual red tape that comes with most government forgiveness processes. Business owners who received loans of ,000 or less have to fill out a one-page document, just released by the SBA, and have their lender process it.“I do think making the forgiveness process easier and more streamlined could help many small businesses,” added Day.With the loan debt hanging over their heads, many small businesses have been reluctant to take on additional debt or put more of their saving into their businesses. Relieving them of the loan burden could now allow them to do so and may result in saving some businesses that were on the brink.However, the SBA points out there’s no guarantee and is still pushing for continued support from Congress in the next stimulus bill.
