SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man arrested Tuesday after leading authorities on a pursuit through the East County Tuesday is being charged with two separate stabbings that occurred hours earlier.San Diego County Sheriff's (SDSO) deputies arrested Patrick Douglas, 51, near Highway 94 and Freezer Blvd. following a vehicle pursuit with deputies earlier Tuesday.Douglas was charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with two stabbings the same day in El Cajon and La Mesa.Deputies said the La Mesa stabbing occurred at the 7-Eleven at 4610 Avocado Blvd. A female delivery driver for Frito Lays, identified as 35-year-old Dina Hammond, staggered into the store with multiple stab wounds to her upper torso after having just made a delivery. 757

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A reported threat to San Diego State University campus was deemed not credible, according to campus police.University police were told of a person making "incoherent threats" on campus Thursday morning. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A missing 16-year-old girl from Mira Mesa has been found after disappearing November 8. Cirena was found late Monday afternoon walking on a street in Salton City. A good Samaritan who saw news reports approached the 16-year-old and asked if she wanted to go to the police station, the family says. As of Tuesday morning, the family told 10News she was back home and healthy. After she went missing, the family says a missing persons report was filed. Days later, family members found Cirena’s phone tossed a few blocks away between two homes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A restaurant destroyed by a fatal fire last October reopened just in time for the holiday crowds. Kojack's Greek American fusion restaurant has been a Mission Beach staple for more than three decades. But last October, a fire started near the roof of the building and destroyed the ice cream shop and Kojack's on the bottom floor, as well as the apartment rooms on the second floor. San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said 36-year-old apartment tenant, Aaron Porter died in the fire. Since the tragedy, the building and restaurant owner, Mike Soltan says he has worked tirelessly to get back onto his feet to reopen on his favorite holiday. "I never miss the Fourth of July on this beach for 33 years. So we tried so hard to make it, and finally, we did it." Soltan said. Longtime customer, Steve Grebing said he could not miss the grand reopening. "He [Soltan] kept saying in two weeks, two weeks. He was getting there, but now he is back here, so it's great," Grebing said. While the building itself is rebuilt, the renovations for the second floor are on hold. So no apartment tenants are able to live upstairs. Soltan also owns the ice cream shop next to Kojack's. Both shops reopened on July 4. 1226

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A political kingmaker is using his fortune to shake up the San Diego race for District Attorney.The first television ads are hitting airwaves now, little more than a month before the election.The element of surprise surrounds the tone of an ad paid for by billionaire George Soros. He’s known for backing progressive candidates and shaking up elections, usually with controversial ads.The ad lays out Geneviéve Jones Wright’s qualifications to be San Diego County’s next District Attorney. It does not attack her opponent Summer Stephan, which is what most politicos expected.Jones Wright told 10News she had not seen the ad.Stephan’s campaign manager said he’s surprised the ad is more of an introduction than an attack. Jason Roe also said there is no doubt in his mind the gloves will come off, based on what he called Soros’ pattern of negative and dishonest ads.Jones Wright filed a complaint with the attorney general claiming Stephan was basically campaigning on the job and using photo ops with law enforcement in her campaign materials.Stephan’s campaign manager called it a distraction. 1128
