President Donald Trump is expected to address the media Friday afternoon at 5 ET following a report citing several unnamed sources claiming Trump made disparaging remarks about military servicemembers killed in the line of duty. The report was published late on Thursday by the Atlantic and immediately prompted Trump to react. Sources told the Atlantic that Trump called fallen servicemembers “losers” and “suckers.”Trump, who usually does not speak to the media when returning to the White House on trips, responded late Thursday night by denying the report’s accuracy. On Friday, rather than holding a typical White House news briefing, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany made a statement denying the report and left the briefing room without taking questions. In addition to the Atlantic’s story, the Associated Press, Washington Post and Fox News were able to independently confirm the accuracy of much of the report with their sources. 944

POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- The Anti-Defamation League Tuesday announced a ,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects who reportedly painted a swastika on the side of a Poway home the first night of Hanukkah. The announcement was made following a vigil Monday night where members of the Poway community came together in solidarity to rally against anti-Semitic hate crime. Shawn Seibert, who lives in the home with his mother, said he heard noises late Sunday night. When he walked outside, he told 10News he saw two people running away. He then noticed the swastika painted on the side of the home and chemicals poured on the family’s car. President Donald Trump on Friday promoted the House Intelligence Committee's findings on Russian meddling in the 2016 election as a way to vindicate himself from the investigation into potential collusion between his campaign and Russia."House Intelligence Committee votes to release final report. FINDINGS: (1) No evidence provided of Collusion between Trump Campaign & Russia. (2) The Obama Administrations Post election response was insufficient. (3) Clapper provided inconsistent testimony on media contacts," Trump wrote on Twitter. The committee voted along party lines Thursday to release the Republican report on Russian meddling, which concludes the committee found no evidence of collusion between Trump's team and Russian officials. Its findings also include that Russia conducted cyberattacks against US political institutions and sought to use social media to undermine the election. However, the report does not match the intelligence community's conclusion that Russian President Vladimir Putin was trying to help Trump win the presidency.Democrats on the committee, however, rejected the report and accused their Republican colleagues of failing to conduct a proper investigation. While Republicans say Thursday's vote marks the end of the House Intelligence Committee's probe, Democrats plan on pushing forward with their own investigation.  1372

Politicians and parents of slain students in Parkland, Florida, are expressing outrage about a forthcoming video game in which players can simulate being an active shooter to terrorize a school. The game, "Active Shooter," is set to be released June 6 on Steam, a gaming platform owned by Valve Corp., a video game developer based in Washington state. The game was developed by Revived Games and published by a Russian company called Acid, which plans to sell the game for between and on the Steam platform.Marketing materials for the game say players will be able to choose between portraying a SWAT team member responding to a shooting or portraying an actual shooter whose objective is to "hunt and destroy."A fierce backlashRyan Petty, who lost his 14-year-old daughter Alaina in the February shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, called the game "despicable" in a tweet."It's disgusting that Valve Corp. is trying to profit from the glamorization of tragedies affecting our schools across the country," Petty said in a statement. "Keeping our kids safe is a real issue affecting our communities and is in no way a 'game.'" 1153
