According to a Pew study, the number of online daters ages 55 to 64 years old has doubled from 2013 to 2015. "It's harder to meet people in your own age demographic," says matchmaker Michelle Frankel. However, Frankel says if you're looking for love, now is the time to begin your next chapter. When it comes to your dating profile, Frankel says to have three great photos of just you and eight to 10 sentences describing who you are and what you like to do. Handmade tortillas and rice and beans are all ingredients in some of Silvia Hernandez' most beloved meals. “I'm from Mexico City, so I love tacos,” she says. “My favorite dish is the carne asada taco.” Hernandez is an immigrant and came to the U.S. a few years ago. She knew how to cook, but she wanted to turn her passion and skill and wanted to turn her traditional Mexican cooking into a business. But she had no idea where to even start.“I didn't know anything about, you know, [the] process, license, requirements,” she says. “I did not even know where offices are located.” That’s where Slavitca Park came in. Park created the Comal Heritage Food Incubator as an outreach program. It’s for low-income immigrants, who needed help to start food businesses based around the cuisines of their homelands. “Everything from understanding, how do you build a menu, how do you source food, how do you price it, what kind of licensing, permitting, you need financing,” Park explains of the education the program provides. The incubator, which acts as a learning kitchen of sorts, is packed five days a week. Here, the women create their own dishes and train with professional chefs. The program now includes refugees from Syria and Ethiopia. “I always say food is one of those things that absolutely transcends everything,” Park says. “I just really think that food is the vehicle that builds the community. Breaking breads. That's what it’s all about.” Hernandez completed the program and now has her own catering company. But she says she just can’t stay away from the program. A police body-camera recording released Wednesday shed more light on the house party that earned six Miami University students citations for violating COVID-19 health orders over Labor Day weekend.There were 20 people inside the house on Saturday afternoon, when an Oxford police officer arrived to break up the party. In the recording, he approaches a group of young men sitting outside and asks to speak to someone who lives in the house.One steps forward and admits he knows he’s broken the state’s rule against gatherings larger than 10 people.The officer takes his ID, runs it through a police database and discovers that its owner had tested positive for COVID-19.This exchange follows:Officer: I’ve never seen this before. There’s an input on the computer that you tested positive for COVID.Student: Yes.Officer: When was this?Student: This was a week ago.Officer: Are you supposed to be quarantining?Student: Yeah. That’s why I’m at my house.Officer: So you have other people here, and you’re positive for COVID?Student: I mean…Officer: You see the problem?
