PHOENIX— A man is accused of doing dozens of beer runs at Valley Circle K locations since late last year.Phoenix police report that on Aug. 15 they arrested 45-year-old Larry Pinkney for 60 thefts at two Circle K stores in south Phoenix. Police say from November 2017 until Aug. 15 of this year, Pinkney stole cases of Budweiser and Bud Light from Circle K. Nearly all of the thefts were from the store near 24th Street and Southern Avenue. Surveillance pictures and video allegedly show Pinkney taking the beer from the stores in each of the incidents. Police say during each incident he carried the beer in the same way and exited in the same direction. In many of the burglaries, he wore the same clothes. Upon his arrest, Pinkney reportedly told police that he sells the beer for a case. Circle K reports the total loss at over ,500.Pinkney has been charged with 60 counts of theft. 945

OTAY MESA, Calif. (KGTV) — Two people escape unscathed after making an emergency landing at Brown Field Tuesday.The aircraft was forced to the ground around 4:30 p.m., landing in a grassy area at the airfield. The plane came to a rest on its side, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesperson Mónica Munoz.Two people on board were not injured, Munoz said.It's not clear what prompted the emergency landing. 422

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The University of Pittsburgh announced on Sunday that they'd issued a shelter-in-place order for students on its Pittsburgh campus due to a spike in positive COVID-19 cases on campus.The order, which was initially scheduled for Thursday, was moved up and went into effect at 12:01 a.m. on Monday."This action is being taken to respond to a significant increase in positive cases among students over the weekend," university officials said in a statement. PERRIS, Calif. (KGTV) - Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies found dogs and weapons Thursday as they raided illegal marijuana growing operations in the city of Perris. Thirty-two search warrants were served at illegal farms, according to the RCSO Twitter feed. Deputies found a drug lab, 37 guns, and 14.9 tons of marijuana. Twenty-seven people were arrested, officials said. “The dogs are ok,” deputies reported on Twitter. Officials said there was also no threat to public safety.No further details were released. 522
