NATIONAL CITY (KGTV) -- Police in National City arrested a suspect who led them on a chase Tuesday after robbing a man of his wallet earlier in March.According to police, the suspect robbed a man of his wallet after tasing him several times, including once in the face on March 9.After spending several days collecting information on the suspect, police spotted the man driving a white sedan.The suspect refused to stop and led police on a chase sideswiping several cars, including a police vehicle, in the process.After stopping on the 6000 block of Cumberland Street, the suspect bolted from his vehicle and tried to run to his home. Police eventually caught up with the suspect and used a taser to bring him down.The man was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be taken to jail on robbery charges.Police haven’t released the name of the suspect. 880

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — The parents of a 9-year-old Milwaukee girl shot and killed by her brother over the weekend have been criminally charged.Marcel Antonio Jelks, 32, and Talisha Lee, 29 both faces charges. Jelks has been charged with child neglect resulting in death and possession of a firearm by a felon. Lee has been charged with child neglect resulting in death, and furnishing a firearm to a felon.According to Milwaukee Police's preliminary investigation, Miyanna was accidentally shot by her brother — who is a minor — in their home in the 4500 block of North 38th Street just after noon on Saturday. She was brought to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police say the brother was been taken to the Milwaukee County Children's Court Center. "She was a beautiful, young girl. She was smart, intelligent. She was just 9 years old," said Jay Jones, a family friend.Jones said seven children live in the house with their mom and dad and he doesn't believe the father knew their was a gun inside the house."They are not the type of people to put their kids in no type of danger or anything like that," he said.If convicted, Lee faces 25 years in prison. Jelks could be sentenced to an additional 10 years due to his criminal history. 1305

MILWAUKEE — A new lawsuit claims Facebook promoted conspiracy theories among the members of militia groups and is responsible for a series of shootings in Kenosha that left protesters dead in the days following the shooting of Jacob Blake.Four people, including the partner of one of the victims killed in the shooting, filed the lawsuit Tuesday against Facebook, members of two militia groups and Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old accused of killing two protesters.The lawsuit filed in the federal court of the Eastern District of Wisconsin alleges Facebook failed to delete two groups — the Kenosha Guards and the Boogaloo Bois — before the allegedly racist and hateful content led dozens of armed counter-protesters to Kenosha, including Rittenhouse."These calls to arms, as one might infer, are not met with the responsible consideration of concerned citizens, but by violent, racist rhetoric in which militia members promise to shoot protesters, their desire to literally kill people displayed publicly for all to see," the lawsuit alleges.The lawsuit argues that Facebook's algorithm allows content from such militia groups to spread rapidly. The suit also argues the algorithm allowed Kenosha Guards' content to be picked up by conspiracy website InfoWars, which wrote an article on the group's call to arms.The lawsuit adds Rittenhouse answered that call to arms and drove across state lines from Illinois to Kenosha with a long gun. Under the command of militia member Ryan Balch — who is named as a defendant in the suit — Rittenhouse later independently shot the three protesters, according to the lawsuit.Rittenhouse is also listed as a defendant in the lawsuit.Facebook received over 400 complaints and flags concerning the Kenosha Guards page and the content it was posting, according to the lawsuit. It alleges that the social network did not attempt to take the page down until after the shooting occurred. In fact, Kevin Mathewson, the creator of the Kenosha Guards page, removed the group himself, the suit alleges.Mathewson is also among those listed as a defendant in the lawsuit."More importantly, Facebook continues to provide militias with the tools to further their violent conspiracies, at a time when we are entering into an election period in which the President of the United States — who openly supports the activities of these militias, while insulting Black Lives Matter and other racial justice protesters — has declared his intent to contest the forthcoming election," the lawsuit reads.The lawsuit cites several causes of action, including conspiracy to interfere with civil rights, action for neglect to prevent, negligence, civil conspiracy, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, among other causes.The lawsuit calls for the injunctive relief enjoining Defendants from future violations of plaintiffs' rights guaranteed under federal and state law, as well as damages determined during a trial.The plaintiffs in the lawsuit include:Hannah Gittings, partner of Anthony Huber, who was fatally shot by RittenhouseChristopher McNeal, a Black man who says he was assaulted by militia membersCarmen Palmer, a Black woman who says she was attacked by militia members when she traveled to Kenosha to protestNathan Peet, a local journalist who witnessed Rittenhouse allegedly shoot the first victimThe lawsuit was filed on behalf of the Plaintiffs by Jason Flores-Williams and Jennifer D. MURRIETA, Calif. (KGTV) -- The contractor involved in Monday’s deadly gas explosion in Murrieta did not call 811 as required by law, according to officials. One SoCalGas worker was killed in the explosion and more than a dozen people were injured. If a homeowner or contractor plans to do any digging into the ground, there must be a call placed to 811 two working days in advance, according to state law. Investigators say a solar company was working on the Murrieta home when the explosion occurred. That company, Horizon Solar Power, would not specifically address the incident. A spokesperson told Team 10: “Yesterday, four members of our team were at the site of a residential explosion in Murrieta. We are working with authorities and collecting facts to better understand what happened. Our primary thoughts are with the people who were injured and their families, including with the family of the person who lost his life.”An SDG&E spokesperson said 811 must be called for projects including landscaping, fence, and patio projects. In San Diego County when you place that call, SDG&E will mark the location of buried utility owned pipelines and other lines. More than 10,000 pounds of chicken is being recalled due to possible contamination by "foreign materials," specifically metal.  Empire Kosher Poultry Inc. says the raw chicken breasts were packaged on November 2 and have the number "P-1015" in the USDA inspection mark. The chicken was reportedly shipped to locations across the country. No injuries or illness has been reported, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. Consumers are urged to throw away the following products or return them to a place of purchase:  562
