TENGCHONG, Yunnan, March 15 (Xinhua) -- A top Taiwan affairs official on Thursday indicated that the signing of a long-awaited cross-Strait investment protection agreement may occur within three months.
The government decided to monitor PM2.5 in four municipalities, 27 provincial capitals, as well as three key regions -- east China's Yangtze River Delta, south China's Pearl River Delta, and the northern Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area -- this year.
The weather agency also forecast that heavy fog will blanket most regions in north China, and urged people to drive slowly and safely.
As part of a pilot project aimed at curbing debt risks for cash-strapped local governments, China approved the cities of Shanghai and Shenzhen, as well as the provinces of Zhejiang and Guangdong, to issue bonds in November last year. The cabinet said earlier this week that the bond issuance trials will be continued this year.
Banks are also required to increase credit support for private investment and provide innovative financial services to support the development of private enterprises, said the CBRC.
