Thanksgiving may not have all the fixings this year. Most Americans are planning a scaled back event.But 75% of people told Butterball they plan to have a turkey the same size this year, as last year.“If you're looking for a smaller turkey, I would recommend shopping early to get what you want,” said Andrea Balitewicz, Butterball Turkey Talk-Line Supervisor.While many people are looking for some normalcy this Thanksgiving, 30% are hosting immediate family only.Butterball says there will also be more first-time hosts.“But there's also other products available like our turkey breast roasts, which are perfect for just a couple of people, or you can find the bone in turkey breast and that's a really great product too, and it's some for about six to seven people. So, it's a great product for smaller celebrations.”Butterball is planning the same offerings as usual. About half its turkeys will be in the 10-16 pound range. The other half in the 16-24 pound range.Walmart says it will have 30% more turkey breasts for those that don't want to cook a whole bird, even though they will have plenty of those.Kroger bought more turkeys than usual. It's predicting an increase in demand for alternatives.Turkey sales have been falling in general, according to Nielsen data. Last November they were down 3.5% from the year before. Starbucks says it has developed a solution to block customers from viewing pornography on its free public Wi-Fi.The coffee giant originally promised to block pron sites in 2016 as soon as it developed a system to block graphic sites. Starbucks has not divulged details on how its content filtering system will work.According to Business Insider, Starbucks' policy change comes after a petition issued by an internet safety group Enough Is Enough garnered 26,000 signatures. The group's CEO, Donna Rice Hughes, claims that by allowing unfiltered Wi-Fi, Starbucks was "keeping the doors wide open for convicted sex offenders and others to fly under the radar from law enforcement and use free, public Wi-Fi services to access illegal child porn and hard-core pornography."Starbucks said in a statement to The Verge that “While it rarely occurs, the use of Starbucks public Wi-Fi to view illegal or egregious content is not, nor has it ever been permitted...We have identified a solution to prevent this content from being viewed within our stores and we will begin introducing it to our US locations in 2019.”According to Enough Is Enough, Starbucks was lagging behind other restaurant chains like McDonald's and Subway, both of which banned pornography on their Wi-Fi networks in 2016.Alex Hider is a writer for the E.W. And that is something that I’ve never shared publicly before," Gillum said as he sat alongside his wife R. According to a police incident report, Miami Beach Police responded to a hotel room on March 13 for a possible overdose.The report stated that Gillum, who was described as being inebriated, was inside the room along with a man who was suffering from a possible drug overdose, a second man, and a substance suspected to be crystal meth.Gillum was not arrested or cited for the incident. Shortly after the report came to light, Gillum released a statement claiming that he had been in Miami for a wedding."While I had too much to drink, I want to be clear that I have never used methamphetamines," Gillum said. "I apologize to the people of Florida for the distraction this has caused our movement."On Sunday, March 15, Gillum announced that he was checking into a rehab facility for alcohol abuse. In the statement, he said that he "fell into a depression" after his unsuccessful gubernatorial run in Florida, which lead to alcohol abuse.Gillum served as the mayor of Tallahassee from 2014 until 2018. TAMPA BAY, Fla. — About four million Kia and Hyundai vehicle owners are one step closer to receiving a piece of the nearly 0 million settlement over an engine defect linked to cars and SUVs spontaneously bursting into flames.The settlement deal, first announced last year, would cover reimbursement for past repairs and expenses, free repair or replacement of damaged engines, denied warranty coverage, and loss of vehicle value.ABC Action News I-team Investigator Jackie Callaway first exposed the cause behind these fires in the report “Up in Flames” in 2018.That’s also the year Tisha VanAllen’s 2011 Kia Optima caught fire as she was driving down a Mississippi highway.“The car started stuttering and I pulled over and when I did it was just engulfed in flames,” she said.VanAllen became trapped in the burning car.“I tried my passenger door, my driver's door, it would not budge,” she said.Panicking, she kicked at the door and window before a truck driver pulled over and wrestled the door open.“He kept yanking on the door handle until he finally got it to open up and he just grabbed me and yanked me out,” she said.The loss of her car devastated the finances of the single mother of four.
