GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A Grand Rapids teen is making sure your morning cup of coffee stays brewing for years to come with the launch of her new coffee line, Joven Coffee."Joven means 'young' in Spanish, so that is why we chose it because we're supporting young farmers," said Frankie Volekma, founder of Joven Coffee.At 14, Frankie is the youngest coffee Q grader in the world and is launching the coffee line to support the next generation of coffee farmers."We're just trying to make it a viable career option for a lot of these young farmers because a lot of times it's a low paying career to be in coffee farming," she said.In coffee producing countries like Columbia and regions of Africa, farmers are primarily 57 years old or older.Frankie's concern is those farmers will eventually retire, and there won't be enough young farmers to take their place."I think it's an important issue, and you're going to hear more about it over time," said Frankie's dad, Tim Volekma, owner of Sparrow Coffee and Schuil Coffee. GEORGIA — A tour bus carrying 18 passengers headed to watch golf at the Masters Tournament overturned Thursday morning, and the driver has been charged.The crash near Augusta happened just before 9 a.m. Eastern. The Georgia State Patrol said the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.The bus went off the right side of the road, GSP said in a release. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned in a median on Interstate 20."Several of the passengers were transported to Doctors Hospital in Augusta with non-life threatening injuries," the report said.The driver of the bus was Steven F. Hoppenbrouwer, 61, of Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was charged with DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane.The bus is owned by Jet Executive Limousine, Inc. 789

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (AP) — Police say an 18-year-old man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of actor Eddie Hassell during a random robbery at a suburban Dallas apartment complex parking lot over the weekend. Grand Prairie police say D'jon Antone was arrested on a capital murder charge Wednesday at his home in Dallas. Hassell was known for his roles in the NBC show "Surface" and the 2010 film "The Kids Are All Right." Police have said 30-year-old Hassell, who lived in Waco, was fatally shot around 1:50 a.m. on Sunday in Grand Prairie.Police said when they arrived at the scene, they located Hassell, who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. HILLSBORO, Ohio — A dramatic security recording from inside the Highland County Common Pleas Court shows an inmate fleeing his own sentencing hearing on foot, evading deputies in the process, on Tuesday morning.According to court records, 34-year-old Nickolaus Kyle Garrison had in August pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated possession of methamphetamine. He appeared in court Tuesday to receive a sentence of six months from Judge Rocky Coss.The Highland County Press reported Garrison ran when deputies attempted to take him back into custody after his sentencing.The video released by the county shows Garrison running from the courtroom and out into a hallway, pursued by deputies and a court bailiff. As he runs downstairs, the bailiff attempts to jump over the banister and grab him; the bailiff falls, sliding down the stairs on his back, and Garrison escapes.By the end of the week, Garrison was back in custody. He was captured at a motel in Clinton County around 4:30 a.m. Friday by officers and deputies from multiple law enforcement agencies. Garrison will now face additional charges. HIGHLAND, Calif. (AP) — Southern California authorities say a man who came to the rescue of people in a burning mobile home was found dead in the wreckage.The fire erupted early Saturday morning in the Highland area of San Bernardino County.Cal Fire says arriving firefighters found four occupants had been evacuated from the mobile home but the rescuer perished.The county coroner's office says the body was found in the debris after the flames were extinguished.The coroner's office did not immediately identify the victim, but family members told KTLA-TV he was 25-year-old Albert Madrid.His sister, Melissa Enriquez, says her brother chose to go in and help, and she hopes he is remembered for that. 711
