LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- La Mesa, El Cajon, Poway, Santee and other local cities are among San Diego County cities to enforce a curfew Sunday night. A curfew will begin at 7 p.m. on May 31 and end at 7 a.m. on June 1 for the City of La Mesa. During that time, the city encouraged residents and visitors to shelter in place. The order was issued following a city council meeting at 9 a.m. Sunday. La Mesa's curfew will also be in effect from Monda at 7 p.m. to Tuesday at 5:30 a.m.National City has also imposed a curfew saying: "This curfew will be in effect starting today, May 31 from 8pm until tomorrow, June 1 at 5:30am. Mike Lee, R-Utah, appeared at Judge Amy Coney Barrett's confirmation hearing in-person on Monday and delivered his opening remarks without a mask.On Oct. 2, Lee announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19. He was one of about a dozen high-ranking government officials — including President Donald Trump — who attended Barrett's Sept. 26 nomination ceremony at the White House and later contracted the virus.Lee said he had received a letter from Congress's attending physician, Dr. Brian Monahan, clearing him to return to his in-person duties — though the letter did not note that Lee had tested negative for the virus."Based upon current CDC guidelines, you have met criteria to end COVID-19 isolation for those with mild to moderate disease," Monahan's letter read. "Specifically, it has been greater than 10 days since symptom onset, you have had no fever in absence of fever reducing medication for at least 24 hours, and your other symptoms have improved. The CDC does not recommend repeat SARS-CoV-2 PCR testing if these criteria are met.”It's unclear if Lee was tested prior to appearing in the Capitol Building on Monday. Graham's refusal to take a test forced a change in format for the weekend debate.During his opening comments, Leahy claimed that Republican senator's aversion to COVID-19 tests was a political tactic to remove any risk that would delay Barrett's nomination until after election day.In his opening remarks, Graham said that his committee had consulted with Monahan and the Capitol architect officials to set up the hearing room "in a fashion we can safely do our business."Following senators' opening statements, Graham explained that the Capitol architect had deemed the hearing room to be in compliance with CDC social distancing guidelines. He said that he wanted to make sure the room was safe but added that like the rest of America, the Senate needed to get "back to work."He also added that he had tested negative "last Friday" following brief contact with Lee, and said that he would not be tested for the virus at the request of "political opponents."Earlier this year, Monahan asked senators to wear masks while on the Senate floor. (KGTV) — Video showed a female duo running from an East County home carrying items, as a helpless homeowner who watched it all unfold on his doorbell camera.At 6 p.m. Thursday, a woman is seen walking up to the front door and appears to be looking for something. Eventually, she wanders to the back of the home, and that's when a loud sound is heard. That sound is believed to the sound of a screen being torn off and a back window being forced open. Don says watching on a Ring camera app was the homeowner, his father, who was out of town with his mother in Missouri. His dad then triggered the alarm and watched as the woman holding several items got into a car in the driveway. Moments later, another woman carrying a box stuffed with items jumped into the same car."I think he started to panic. He's not there and somebody's in the house," said Don.The homeowner is heard asking through speaker "Who are you? Who are you?" before the women drive off."They called me in a panic. They didn't have number for local sheriff," said Don. He called 9-1-1 and deputies arrived minutes later. But the women were long gone. According to the video, they weren't in the home long."In a seven-minute time frame, they went through literally every drawer in the house," said Don.Stolen from the home: A coin collection and dozens of pieces of jewelry belonging to his father and mother.
