SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg in East Village late Saturday night.Authorities say a 48-year-old man parked his car on 11th and E Street near City College Station around 10:50 p.m. Saturday.The man got out of the car and started walking when he saw two people arguing and heard gunshots.According to police, the man got into his car and began to drive away when he felt a pain in his right leg, looked down and saw that he was bleeding.Police said at this time, they don’t have any description of the suspects.The man drove himself to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 642

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person is dead after his SUV careened off Interstate 5 near Pacific Beach Tuessday.A driver was traveling on northbound I-5 near Garnet Ave. just before 2 p.m. when a witness tells 10News the white Toyota RAV 4's passenger-side wheels became caught on the freeway guardrail. As the vehicle continued it fell off I-5, traveled down an embankment, and landed on its top on Garnet Ave. below the freeway. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Palomar College officials say almost all of its classes will be held remotely this fall and new online programs will be offered.The college said all fall classes will be held online except for Emergency Medical Education (EME) and Fire and Police Academies, which resumed in-person courses in May, and the Nursing program, which will start in-person classes in the fall.Some Microbiology labs will also meet in person.RELATED: University of San Diego sidelines plans for fall in-person coursesPalomar cited an uptick in coronavirus cases in San Diego County as the reason they've chosen to continue virtual learning."Protecting our students, faculty and staff is our top priority as we navigate the dynamic conditions of this health crisis," said Interim Superintendent/President Dr. Jack Kahn.
