SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Florida school shooting is conjuring painful memories for an uncle who calls his nephew the "14th Columbine victim.""You get choked up and then you're mad," said Tim Barnes.It was a flood of different emotions, as Barnes watched coverage of the tragedy in Florida.April 19th, 1999, as news broke about the massacre at Columbine High through frantic 911 calls, the San Diegan had his nephew Greg on his mind: A Columbine High student and one of the top basketball players in Colorado.Greg did survive the shootings, but one of his best friends did not. Greg was among several students who tried to keep the girl's basketball coach alive."From my understanding, he was holding Coach Sanders when he bled to death," said Barnes.Two months later, Barnes sat down with his nephew.    "Everything's cool. I'm good. I'm fine. Don't really want to talk about it. And that scared me. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The names of a couple found dead in their Torrey Highlands home and the son accused of killing them were released by San Diego Police Wednesday. Xiaoqun Fang and Yi Cheng, both 58 years old, were due to arrive in San Francisco last Saturday. Concerned family members called police, asking for a welfare check at the home at 7405 Via Rivera. Upon arrival, police looked through a window and saw a body on the floor. Fang and Cheng had both suffered upper body trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The California Highway Patrol said a person arrested at gunpoint on Interstate 15 in San Diego Thursday was suspected of driving illegally in the HOV lane and leading an officer on a pursuit.The chase happened on southbound I-15 just south of Aero Dr. at 5:30 p.m.Officers said the driver was in the high-occupancy vehicle lane and failed to pull over, leading to the brief pursuit.There are no reports of any injuries or a reason why the driver did not yield for the traffic stop. 508
