BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A Louisiana state trooper has died following a single-vehicle crash hours after learning he would be fired for his role in the in-custody death of a Black man last year. Authorities say Master Trooper Chris Hollingsworth was mortally wounded in a highway crash early Monday. He had been placed on paid leave this month amid fallout from the May 2019 death of Ronald Greene, which has become the subject of a federal civil rights investigation and a wrongful-death lawsuit alleging he was brutalized by troopers following a high-speed chase. BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic University's commencement ceremony scheduled for 5pm today has been canceled and the Student Union is being evacuated after the school received what law enforcement considers a credible threat.An FAU source tells WPTV that right as the ceremony was about to start, a note was found in a women's bathroom stuck to the mirror that contained a threat in reference to the graduation ceremony.Sean Brammer, Chief of FAU Police, would not specify what type of threat was issued, saying only that it was specific to the commencement.The school is considering different options on rescheduling the commencement ceremony, but have not announced their intentions yet.FAU Assistant Vice President Joshua D. Glanzer said "There were 462 students scheduled to participate in the ceremony. Every effort will be made to give these students the recognition they deserve." 900

Chamberlain owns Chamberlain Distributing, a packing house that brings tons of produce from Mexico and he chairs the port authority for Santa Cruz County, Arizona. The USMCA, the US, Mexico, Canada Agreement that officially kicks in this week replaces NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement and does things like modernizing record keeping for the digital age.Chamberlain says cross border trade does not mean U.S. jobs going to Mexico. He says, It’s a two-way highway that helps both sides.“There's a tremendous amount of American products going into Mexico. In fact, the majority of the raw products going into make a lot of the products coming out of Mexico especially out of the Maquila industry are American based companies that are supplying that raw product into Mexico.”Josh Rubin’s company Javid LLC/Javid De Mexico operates many of those Maquilas--factories U.S. companies operate in Mexico. He says, “I represent 27 different facilities over 3500 employees here in Nogales, Mexico, for our customers.”Customs charges are based on where a product is made. Boeing has unveiled its newest line of business jets, which the company says will allow VIP travelers to fly nonstop between "any two cities on Earth."The BBJ 777X planes will have a range of 11,645 nautical miles (21,570 km), enabling them to offer the longest commercial flight in the world.Depending on which routes the jets are used on, the new models mean Boeing could wrestle the crown for farthest nonstop travel away from Airbus.Earlier this year, Singapore Airlines resumed its 17-hour flights between London and Singapore on Airbus A350-900 ULR (Ultra-Long Range) jets.But the distance traveled on the record-breaking flights is a mere 9,000 nautical miles (16,700 kilometers), putting it below the range Boeing's new jets are capable of.The planes "can fly more than halfway around the world without stopping, farther than any business jet ever built," the company said in a statement."Our most exclusive customers want to travel with the best space and comfort and fly directly to their destination. BERLIN (AP) — German prosecutors say police investigating the disappearance of British girl Madeleine McCann in Portugal in 2007 are searching a garden plot in the northern city of Hannover in connection with their probe. Julia Meyer, a spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office in Braunschweig, confirmed local media reports Tuesday that police investigators had been at the site since Monday with an excavator in connection with the case but couldn't provide further details. McCann was 3 at the time of her 2007 disappearance from an apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal while on a vacation with her family.German authorities said last month they had identified a 43-year-old German citizen as a suspect in the case.The suspect was "in and around Praia da Luz" at the same time McCann went missing, officials said in the news release.The suspect was seen driving two vehicles during his time in Portugal: a VW campervan and a 1993 Jaguar XJR 6.
