Overall, California ranked 21st on the list of best and worst states for military retirees. The Golden State ranked 9th for quality of life, 3rd for number of VA health facilities per number of veterans and 5th for number of VA benefits-administration facilities per number of veterans. Dragging California down to the 21st spot however, is the cost of living. The state ranked 51st for housing affordability and 49th for percent of veteran-owned businesses. California also ranked 48th for its percentage of homeless veterans and 12th for veteran job opportunities. A few years ago - amid ongoing concerns over impacts on wildlife, water quality and pets - SeaWorld scaled back the shows, in favor of laser light shows. Now comes another high-flying option in the form of the drone light shows like those that have wowed at places like Universal Studios and Disney World. Harrison said on Twitter he met with Friends of Friendship Park and apologized for the “unintentional destruction of the garden.”“The original intent was to have the garden trimmed. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — California's regional stay-at-home orders will go into effect in San Diego County on Sunday after the Southern California region fell below the 15% ICU threshold that triggers the restrictions.The state Department of Public Health announced the Southern California region, which includes San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Imperial, Inyo, Mono, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties, fell to 13.1% ICU capacity on Friday. That number dropped to 12.5% on Saturday.The restrictions will begin for a region at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, according to the state.
