BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Beijing held a public hearing on Thursday afternoon on plans to raise taxi fares in order to address cabbies' complaints over low income.
The speaker is making the visit at the invitation of China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang, according to a press release from the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) on Friday.
