Amid the national debate, a Texas state representative is now pushing for legislation that would allow more parents to opt out of vaccines, arguing to the Texas Observer that if a child gets measles, parents could simply use "antibiotics and that kind of stuff" to prevent deaths. A gunman shot and killed three people at a food festival in California Sunday evening.According to police, a gunman began shooting festival-goers at the Gilroy Garlic Festival at about 5:41 p.m. local time. A 4-year-old girl and four family members are recovering after a bobcat attack on Mt. Graham. Two campgrounds are closed with Arizona Game and Fish trying to catch and kill the cat they suspect has rabies. Has more on what officials are calling an extreme and bizarre animal attack. Game and Fish says they won't know for sure until they catch and test the animal, but this is simply not the behavior of a healthy bobcat. They say it needs to be destroyed. “The behavior is extreme by any reasonable standard. This is not someone coming across a bobcat and quickly being bit and the bobcat running off, this is sustained attacks on human beings,” said Arizona Game and Fish Spokesperson Mark Hart. Graham survived a traumatic experience Sunday. “A year-old girl ran behind the tent, her mother heard screaming, and they came around the tent to see she was being attacked by a bobcat, on the ground bitten at least once in the head.”The girl's father, two uncles, and a teenage girl came to her aid and the bobcat attacked them too. A complaint has been filed against Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton after his pet monkey reportedly "viciously attacked" a girl on his property.A complaint was filed by Jocelyne Urena, who is the mother of Genevieve Urena.The younger Urena was a guest at Newton's house, Casa de Shenandoah, on Oct. 17, 2017.During the visit, she was attacked and bitten by the monkey, she said.The complaint says that Newton knew about the monkey's viciousness and propensity to attack and did not take care to protect his guest. According to the complaint, the girl did nothing to provoke the attack.Urena is seeking more than ,000 in damages. The complaint was filed in Clark County District Court.
