Gov. Gretchen Whitmer went to Delaware to meet with Joe Biden as he neared the announcement of his vice presidential choice, two high-ranking Michigan Democrats tell The Associated Press. The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, say Whitmer visited Biden last Sunday. It's his first confirmed in-person meeting with a potential pick. Whitmer, the first-term governor of a battleground state, has long been on his short list of possible running mates. Flight records show a chartered flight left Lansing’s Capital Region International Airport for Delaware Coastal Airport at 5:33 p.m. and returned at 11:16 p.m. 633
Hillary Clinton says she's "convinced" there was collusion between Russia and members of Donald Trump's team during the 2016 campaign, according to a Monday night interview with USA Today. When asked if she believes that there was collusion by Trump associates with Russians during the campaign, Clinton said: "I'm convinced of it.""I happen to believe in the rule of law and believe in evidence, so I'm not going to go off and make all kinds of outrageous claims," the former Democratic presidential hopeful said. "But if you look at what we've learned since (the election), it's pretty troubling."Ahead of the release of her new memoir, "What Happened," Clinton has been discussing her experiences from the campaign trail and the time following her loss to Trump. 772

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania’s highest court has thrown out a lower court’s order preventing the state from certifying dozens of contests on its Nov. 3 election ballot. At issue is the latest lawsuit filed by Republicans attempting to thwart President-elect Joe Biden’s victory. In a unanimous decision Saturday night, the state Supreme Court threw out a judge's recent order to halt certification of any remaining contests. The justices say the underlying lawsuit was filed months too late. The Republican plaintiffs had sought to either throw out the 2.5 million mail-in ballots submitted under the law or direct the state’s Republican-controlled Legislature to pick Pennsylvania’s presidential electors. 721
