(KGTV) - The minds behind the racy card game known for their unorthodox holiday promotions have returned with yet another odd proposal. And one that may strike at the heart of Washington D.C.Card Against Humanity wrote online they have purchased a plot of land along the United States-Mexico border in an effort to stall President Donald Trump's planned border wall.RELATED: Amazon releases its Top 100 Holiday Toys for the 2017 season"So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built," the company's website reads. The company doesn't provide any actual proof they have purchased the land, but promised those who sign up for the promotion a map of the parcel of land, new cards, and "a few other surprises."The game makers warned though, "it will be fun, it will be weird, and if you voted for Trump, you might want to sit this one out."The company has built a cult following around its out-of-the-ordinary holiday promotions.Last year the company ran a Black Friday promotion to dig a hole as deep as possible. The reason?RELATED: Black Friday 2017 sales predictions: Game consoles, kitchenware and TVs will be deals"You’re supposed to think it’s funny. You might not get it for a while, but some time next year you’ll chuckle quietly to yourself and remember all this business about the hole," the company wrote.Previous iterations of the promotion have also included paying for absolutely nothing in return.Eight border wall prototypes were completed in Otay Mesa last month. The federal government has about two months from their completion to evaluate the prototypes. 1748

A bipartisan group of senators has failed to reach an agreement on stabilizing Obamacare in 2018.Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander, who chaired a set of health committee hearings with Democratic Sen. Patty Murray of Washington, said Tuesday that the effort to craft a "limited, bipartisan plan" to take to Senate leaders by the end of September had come to a standstill."During the last month, we have worked hard and in good faith, but have not found the necessary consensus among Republicans and Democrats to put a bill in the Senate leaders' hands that could be enacted," Alexander said in a statement.Murray said she regretted Alexander's decision, noting the group had identified "significant common ground" and that she had agreed to give states additional flexibility over how they implement Obamacare. The halt comes as Republicans have revived an effort to repeal Obamacare before the end of the month, when their authority to pass a bill with a simple majority ends. The White House has launched a full-court press backing a bill authored by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy that would dismantle major provisions of the health reform law and overhaul Medicaid."I am disappointed that Republican leaders have decided to freeze this bipartisan approach and are trying to jam through a partisan Trumpcare bill," Murray said in a statement, "but I am confident that we can reach a deal if we keep working
