Former US Senate candidate Roy Moore has filed a countersuit against Leigh Corfman, one of the women who accused him of making unwanted sexual advances.Moore is asking an Alabama state judge to stop all proceedings in Corfman's defamation lawsuit, calling the lawsuit "frivolous and groundless," according to the countersuit filed late Monday in Circuit Court in Montgomery County, Alabama. Corfman sued Moore in January."This is and has been a political attempt to smear the good name and reputation of Judge Roy Moore, and we will not let this injustice continue," Melissa Isaak, one of Moore's attorneys, said in a statement. "Yesterday, we filed claims for slander and defamation against Leigh Corfman, and claimed damages for attorney fees under the Alabama Litigation Accountability Act."CNN has reached out to Corfman's attorney.Moore's countersuit comes after Montgomery Circuit Judge Ronan Shaul last week denied a motion from Moore's legal team to dismiss Corfman's lawsuit, CNN affiliate WSFA reported.The judge also refused to move the suit from Montgomery County to Etowah County, the station reported.In the statement, Isaak said: "We also continue to argue that this case should be tried in Etowah County, and wonder why Leigh Corfman has chosen to file this case in Montgomery and not Etowah County, where both she and Judge Moore reside and where her character and reputation are well known."Corfman told The Washington Post?in November that Moore molested her when she was 14 and he was in his 30s. She was washing her hair when a tree in the yard smashed through the ceiling to join her in the shower."I didn't have time to react," she said. "When I opened up the curtain, the mirror fell and shattered, so I had to step around the glass. … I had to run, throw on a shirt and run out of the room because I didn't know if it was going to fall any more."Chitwood's family members said the impact rocked their entire home, knocking items off of shelves. Forget the shirt and shoes; no service for people on horseback at Starbucks in Anthem, Arizona. A Valley girl is frustrated after trying to ride her horse through the drive-thru when the barista said nay. Aspen Cline had seen internet videos of others riding their horses through the Starbucks drive-thru and decided that's what she wanted to do for her birthday. Instead, she and her horse, Scout, were shut down by the barista who apparently wasn't into horsing around. "We weren't given a reason, just, "we can't take your order," said Aspen. "My friend and I were going to get frappuccinos for us and a cup of whipped cream for the horses." A Starbucks spokesperson told us, officially, their drive-through is for cars only. He said that policy is for animal, rider and employee safety. But, he also added that the horses caught the barista off guard and with a little-advanced notice next time they'll find a way to serve all creatures."We support Starbucks because they're very accepting," said Tandy Cline, Aspen's mom. "So we were kind of disappointed we got thrown to the side from such a great company."  Tandy said they would definitely be reaching back out to Starbucks to see if they can arrange a better experience for Aspen. 1297

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner announced that archeological investigations found a 7,000-year-old Native American ancestral burial site in the Gulf of Mexico near Venice, Florida.“The Florida Department of State takes our responsibility for the preservation, respectful treatment and security of this rare and unique site very seriously,” said Secretary Detzner. “Our dedicated team of underwater archaeologists has done an incredible job of documenting and researching the Manasota Key Offshore archaeological site, and I am extremely proud of the work. Our hope is that this discovery leads to more knowledge and a greater understanding of Florida’s early peoples. We are thankful for the cooperation of our partners, including Gulf Coast Community Foundation and their CEO, Mark Pritchett, who has provided invaluable support and integration with the local community.”The Manasota Key Offshore (MKO) site is reportedly unprecedented and is located on the continental shelf in offshore waters, preserved in what appears to have been a peat-bottomed freshwater pond thousands of years ago.The state says that out of respect for the individuals buried there and their living descendants, divers are restricted from disturbing the site.Officials say the MKO archaeological site demonstrates that submerged offshore archaeological sites have survived natural occurrences, such as erosion and hurricanes.“Seeing a 7,000-year-old site that is so well preserved in the Gulf of Mexico is awe inspiring," said Dr. Ryan Duggins, Underwater Archaeology Supervisor for BAR. "We are truly humbled by this experience.  It is important to remember that this is a burial site and must be treated with the utmost respect. We now know that this type of site exists on the continental shelf.  This will forever change the way we approach offshore archaeology.
