With Democrats boycotting the hearing, the Republican-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee voted to authorize the legal orders if Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey don't agree to testify voluntarily. WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is extending the voluntary national shutdown for a month as sickness and death from the coronavirus pandemic rise in the U.S. The initial 15 days of social distancing urged by the federal government is expiring and Trump had expressed interest in relaxing the guidelines at least in parts of the country less afflicted by the pandemic. But instead he decided to extend them. Many states and local governments have stiffer controls in place on mobility and gatherings. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Hispanics make up the largest emerging ethnic group in the United States and one that the outcome of this year’s elections may hinge on.“Eight out of every 10 Latinos in our country are United States citizens. The other thing that is important to know is that, during presidential elections, eight out of 10 Latinos, who are registered to vote, vote.”Clarissa Martinez is with UnidosUS, the largest Latino civil rights organization in the country.
