According to police, 77-year-old David McArthur left his home on the 7900 block of Wing Span Drive around 10 a.m. to work on his boat at The Southwestern Yacht Club. He was last seen walking toward his vehicle in the parking lot of the yacht club, according to a family friend. McArthur was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s six years ago. McArthur is described as a white man, 77-years-old who is bald with grey hair on the sides and a thin build. Police say he also wears a yellow metal wedding ring and black band digital watch on his left wrist. McArthur is from New Zealand and speaks with a slight accent. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego police are looking for the driver that hit and killed a man in Chollas Creek early Friday morning.SDPD officers say it happened around 1 a.m. on Chollas Parkway. The man was either standing or walking in the street when a speeding car hit him.The victim died at the scene, police confirmed.Police do not have a description of the car but say it was a racer-type vehicle with a loud muffler. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County leaders have stressed education over enforcement regarding the rules and laws surrounding the coronavirus, but there are laws in place to help stop the spread."There is civil liability and criminal liability," says Professor Joanna Sax from the California Western School of Law.Sax says many of the laws rely on a standard called "reasonable care" to determine liability."As long as you are taking precautions reasonably, then it's unlikely that you'll be held negligent.
