ANTALYA, Turkey, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping suggested here Monday building a long-term, healthy and stable strategic partnership with Canada on the basis of mutual respect and win-win cooperation.

China has pledged to peak its carbon emissions around 2030 and planned to build a national carbon trading system by 2017. It currently is the largest renewable market in the world.

Cross-Strait affairs chiefs have been involved in mutual visits since a regular communication mechanism was institutionalized in 2014.

China and Vietnam have reached consensus on expanding cooperation within the framework of China's initiative on the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (Belt and Road Initiative) and Vietnam's "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan, as well as on enhancing production capacity cooperation, Xi said in his talks with Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, on Thursday.

After the summit, Xi will fly to Manila, the Philippines to attend the 23rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting scheduled for Nov. 18-19.
