LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Pop star Ariana Grande is suing fashion retailer Forever 21 and its spin-off cosmetics brand, Riley Rose, for million, alleging in court papers filed in Los Angeles that the company used a look-alike model in an ad campaign without permission. The complaint, filed in U.S. District Court, alleges that the trademark violations took place in late 2018 and early this year, using unlicensed imagery from her ``Thank U, Next'' album and ``7 Rings'' music video.A Forever 21 representative issued a statement on the company's behalf.``While we dispute the allegations, we are huge supporters of Ariana Grande and have worked with her licensing company over the past two years,'' the statement reads. ``We are hopeful that we will find a mutually agreeable resolution and can continue to work together in the future.''Grande alleges that Forever 21 ran the ad campaign on its website and social media platforms.``As of February 2019, Ms. Grande became the most-followed woman on Instagram in the world, amassing more than 160 million Instagram followers; a title she continues to hold through the date of filing this complaint," according to the lawsuit. ``Even a single social media post by Ms. Grande can garner fees of several hundred thousand dollars, and her longer-term endorsement arrangements command fees in the millions of dollars.'' 1369

LOS ANGELES (KGTV) -- According to multiple media reports and NBA insiders, one of the summer's most coveted free agents Kawhi Leonard will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers.Friday's news ends days of KawhiWatch, a media and fan frenzy that included a helicopter chase and people camping outside hotels hoping to persuade the 2019 NBA Finals MVP to stay with the Toronto Raptors, or join either the Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers.Leonard's camp has not released an official announcement nor made any comments on the reports as of Friday night. The former San Diego State University star will be joining a young and exciting Clippers team that won two games against the top-seeded Golden State Warriors in the first round of this year's Western Conference playoffs. The Leonard signing now makes the Clippers a top contender for the 2019-2020 NBA title. The Lakers were the heavy favorites in the Kawhi Sweepstakes. The Lakers dealt away a youthful core of assets to the New Orleans Pelicans for power forward All-Star Anthony Davis in hopes of landing the league's baller trifecta of LeBron James, Davis, and Leonard -- AKA the Big 3.Leonard, a 6'7" small forward who grew up in Los Angeles and played at SDSU for two seasons, will join All-Star forward Paul George, who was reportedly acquired via a trade with Oklahoma City, also on Friday night. The 28-year-old Leonard is expected to sign a four-year, 2 million maximum contract, according to ESPN Senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.A Friday night @wojespn bomb this lifelong @LAClippers fan never thought he'd see! LOS ANGELES (KGTV) - A water main break created a sinkhole Friday, swallowing cars and flooding streets in South Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power said a 24-inch cast iron water main broke around 5 a.m. near Towne Avenue and East 55th Street."We can't shut it down fast. On this shutoff, there's 12 valves involved. You just can't shut it down completely. You have to keep some water in the system. It's just a slow process," Eric Shavly from LADWP told KABC. "Whatever the cause, it could be corrosion, age - we don't know at this moment until we dig down and see the actual damage on the water main."A pickup truck that fell into the sinkhole also cracked a gas line, causing gas and water to be shut off to the area. 41 people were evacuated during the emergency, KABC reported. After four hours, crews gained control of the flow. The cause of the water main break was unclear. 910

LOS ANGELES (AP) — California Sen. Dianne Feinstein has endorsed Joe Biden for president, lining up with a fellow centrist Democrat and onetime Senate colleague and snubbing her home-state counterpart, Sen. Kamala Harris. In a statement Tuesday, Feinstein says she has worked closely with the former vice president and Delaware senator and has "seen firsthand his legislative ability, his statesmanship and most importantly his moral fortitude."The endorsement was not unexpected — Feinstein earlier indicated she favored Biden and recently held a fundraiser for him at her San Francisco home. The announcement comes at a time when Harris has been fading in polls and is struggling to regain her earlier momentum in the 2020 contest.Feinstein says Biden "will continue the fight to restore the soul of the nation from the Oval Office." 842
