BORDEN, Ind. — A plane crashed Friday morning in southern Indiana, killing multiple people. According to WHAS, the ABC affiliate in Louisville, the crash happened in Borden, Indiana at about 11:30 a.m., in the 2600 block of Crone Road. The plane that crashed could hold about 10 passengers, Clark County Sheriff Jamie Noel said. No survivors have been located at this time, Noel said. The sheriff's office said there were multiple fatalities, WHAS reported.He said it was very difficult to access the scene of the crash due to it being in a wooded area.  582

(AP) — An egg has been laid in a nest shared by two bald eagles in Southern California and nature lovers will anxiously watch for the hatching via an online live feed .U.S. Forest Service biologist Robin Eliason said Wednesday that the parents will share incubation duties for the next month or so. Eliason expects the hatchling will arrive in early April.The video feed shows an eagle nestling on the egg Thursday as strong, cold winds blow through the San Bernardino National Forest. A count completed late last year found 11 bald eagles living in the forest east of Los Angeles.The Institute for Wildlife Studies web page has thousands of comments from people watching the feed. BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. -- The largest wildfire on record in Colorado is only 51 percent contained Tuesday, although firefighters say they were finally able to “go on the offense” battling the blaze this week.The Cameron Peak Fire is more than 200,000 acres in size. It started August 13 and is burning northwest of Denver in the mountains. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.A Red Flag Warning starts Wednesday, as dry and windy weather persists.The weather is also hampering efforts to control two new wildfires burning in Boulder County, north of Denver. Both started over the weekend.The Calwood Fire is under 10,000 acres and is about 17 percent contained. The Lefthand Canyon Fire is 470 acres and 4 percent contained. The cause of both fires is still under investigation.Because of their proximity to residential areas, thousands are evacuated due to these two wildfires.
